Thank you @Green_hopeful sounds a bit complicated for me considering the ridiculousness of the placement of my washing machine, but it's always good to hear about new ways to save water.I'm almost 50% through DS's room and it looks ridiculous now with half of it a tip and stuff everywhere and the other half perfectly ordered and clean. I should really finish it before next weekend for DS's birthday when he'll get even more stuff... Not sure whether I have the time though. My parents and sister were here when I was doing some of it and even they said it was painful to watch
Anyway, more bits out mostly courtesy of DS's room. More bits in from sister and parents, but these are consumables that I will use up over time.8 - DS tat recycled
5 - DS tat (charity bag)
6 - DD paperwork recycled
2 - greetings cards I can’t reuse (recycled)

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger we are in Peterborough. We are obviously on the dry side of the country but i think there is local geography which means most summer rainfall misses us. We always spend the summer watching for rain then it goes round us or stops short of us. Our soil is comedy heavy clay over laying rocky subsoil. Once the soil dries out it cracks and then doesn’t take up moisture until well into the autumn. Cadent dug up our garden a couple of years ago and they said our soil was the worst on the street. We add loads of organic material each year with up to 12 compost bins or leaf mould bags and bringing in horse muck. Funny thing is i lived a few doors down on the same street and my husband’s parents a few doors further down and both houses had good soil.16

daisy_1571, Instead of buying DH new shirts I just do a load with black dye and it really freshens then up no end, really brings the colour back. He only wears black - like the Milk Tray man (if you’re old enough to remember).Sweet dreams all xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

I was picked up by my SA bestie and taken to her corps this morning. It was a celebration of 20 years since the new building was opened. It was a cafe style worship with tea and eats.
I came home and cooked a meal.
There was another act of worship there this afternoon - nuns from the abbey were attending. I decided to go and it was a lovely time of worship.
I have been sorting out more files - this time from the top drawer of the filing cabinet.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Went into the loft with Mr🐞 and was horrified at how much stuff is actually up there. Brought down another 2 boxes, started listing stuff onto V, the bay and Fboo. Sold 2 items. A big ornament that I inherited( not my taste) and 2 toys. 1 doll gone in the bin as her material body was very grubby and electric mechanism had rusted. Donated 2 bubble bath sets to my aunty, who will use them as raffle prizes for her McMillan coffee morning later in the year.Love 🐞Declutter 150 2026

grin. Though today they were busy looking at wedding venues. It's going to be a busy time for them!DundeeDoll, your 26 minute sessions are definitely working well 👏 A lovely find & hopefully a ‘sign’ that DD2 will soon find a new home 🤞
today was the cupboard under the sink - now decluttered and clean. in my 26 minutes I also had time to sort the bags of bags that seem to amassed - I think they must be breeding! will ask the cs if they need any bags. best find - two bags for loose veg - they are now back with the bags I actually do use for shopping!20*25 for 2025: 489 / 50016 -

I have what I think is a victorian lavender bag/ which had lost its fastening, it has lovely gold lace edging . I found part of the fastening which had come off and a small button the same dull gold and have mended..counts a some as button decluttered on to it.
Are lavender bags effective against moths? You can't get old fashioned moth balls and cedar balls don't seem effective
Been socialising this weekend so little done on decluttering.
