Gave my friend at craft club a ball of orange eyelash wool for her to make Hiylan coo's. Also gave her some gold thread.
I put the old post cards in the frames, after dismantling them and washing the glass. Love em but no idea where to put them. Not old postcards as you might be imagining, Those very kitsch Spanish lady cards with frilly material dresses.
I have bought some Laura Ashley curtains form Ebay for the big spare room. The ones up at the window were kindly given to me and are too wide and a bit short. They will be going to the charity shop.
We put 3 pictures up in the sitting room. Hopefully we will get more done this week. Just the landing and small spare room left to do.

@vulpix maybe put the framed postcards in the downstairs loo?
Not liking the change that means I can't quote just a bit of someone's post...

Tuesday has been wet & windy since 01:00 & continued until 13:00 with a high of 9°C (feeling 8° colder due to strong SE wind) & a low of 5°C I have completed two more hats see pic
DH’s hm soup is hearty & delicious 😋 perfect for a miserable day! The wind has changed to S so only feels 5° colder 😉 I have started knitting another hat whilst watching TV or nodding off. Dinner will be the last of the beef joint sliced & warmed through in hm gravy, mash & peas. Wudupa160 - 161 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
162 - 163 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
DSis & I watched the first 2 episodes of the new GoT spin off - A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms…… really not sure as each episode really dragged 🤨 P.S. rained late evening 😞
Florenceem, hopefully your uniform fits well 🙏 and you haven’t lost too much weight. I also hope that the weather improves enough for you to be able to go out 🤞Good luck clearing the shelves in the office wardrobe 🍀
ruby_eskimo, pleased to hear that the building work is going so well 😊 & that you will soon be in a position to start decorating 👏 Both you & DH have been busy - very impressed that you have organised the kitchen cupboard so well that it appears almost empty without having to throw anything away 🥳 & that your DH is doing so well ‘boarding’ the loft 👏 I was also very pleased to hear that both your parents are applying themselves to decluttering their home 👏 (I would have quoted you but MSE have made some uncalled for changes which make the Forum less user friendly ☹️) Here’s hoping they keep up the good work 🤞
Great decluttering Floss 👏 Fingers crossed that the decorators don’t cause too much disruption 🤞
Brie, your post brought to mind a film called ‘The Invention of Lying’ 😅 where everyone tells the truth until one day Ricky Gervais’s character discovers ‘lying’
Great decluttering Wednesday2000 👏 I don’t often read my horoscope & usually find it bears no relation to anything going on in my life 😉
Great decluttering crazybeautiful 👏
Excellent work dealing with financial frogs Brie 👏
Florenceem, a busy afternoon with some great decluttering 👏 Good luck sorting the “office stuff” 🍀
Excellent decluttering & dealing with frogs GrannyKate 👏 MSE seem to have played around with their format & moved all the icons as well 😖
tibawo, sorry to hear that your Mum’s care is still not of a satisfactory standard 😔 It sounds like your complaint letter is only getting longer 😞
Excellent decluttering ilovetea 👏
oceanspirit, no ‘naughty corner carriage’ on the EDT 😉 The next step from the TLC Carriage is to the ‘Quiet Room’ where there is waiter/waitress service & you can build your strength & make plans to continue your decluttering journey ☺️ Although I see that you have already resumed your decluttering & are having success in uu food & toiletries 👏 as well as curbing your sm spending 👏
Brambling, hopefully you can get your elderly friend’s care package sorted before she leaves hospital 🙏 Excellent decluttering of books 👏 & great work gathering all your embroidery threads into one box 👏
mehefin, a beautiful post 🥹
dND, nice to see you 👋 Great work keeping up with the day to day decluttering & working hard to create space in your freezer 👏 Also very well done making a start on your project to convert the garage area into your domestic recycling centre 👏 A medal 🏅 is on its way. Very pleased to hear that you are pacing yourself with the marmalade making ☺️ The changes are all very sudden & annoying 😖 Ithink now you save as Draft then go to bottom of page to Quick Links & select My Drafts
TC77, fingers crossed that the anomaly can be sorted quickly 🤞Great decluttering 👏
vulpix, wow talk about moving at the speed of light 🤩 Only the landing & small spare room to do 👏 A medal 🏅 is on its way.
Floss, me neither 😖 Seems like change for change sake - moving icons & then not bothering to address the main issue of the location of the ‘Report’ button 😢 It took me a long time to get used to the layout & now it is all changed 😞
All caught up so will post & watch a bit of TV before going to bed. Sleep tight 😴

Hi all, reasonable day today. Sat in the dentist chair with my head lower than my feet for ages left me feeling a bit wobbly but I sat in the car for a while until I felt better. I have a temporary crown and so far all ok. I will be back there next week to get the proper crown done.
I did pick up a couple of coffees on the way home but I retreated to bed for an hour or so as I was still a bit wobbly 😁
I did manage to get 2 LDFPA, 3 sessions of ironing, kitchen recycling emptied and 200 emails deleted so quite happy with that 😁.
This new layout is throwing me a bit, missing the preview button so having to check the auto correct hadn't made a load of nonsense
Right, off to bed. Hugs to everyone who would like one
146 & 147 LDFPA
148 - 150 ironing
151 kitchen recycling.
152 & 153 200 emails permanently deleted
Double spacing everytime I press return 🙄
Take care everyone

Good morning chums sun has again appeared today :) Its been a busy week , Games afternoon in newport (played Crib with my friend Richard and we drew 2-2
Yesterday went to U3A coffee morning in Ryde had a nice natter with some new people
This morning I have Stitch & B**ch at Coop in Ryde with a good deal of coffee and nattering involved
DD managed to sell my Hiawatha jacket and posted it off yesterday didn't make much on it only a fiver but it would have never been worn again so at least someone will wear it.I told her to put the cash into her craft pot as she really enjoys crafting and is becoming quite good at it .
I shall declutter some six books I've read to the CS shelf in the Coop as I pass it on my way to the cafe so a little bit more decluttered.
Time to get a wriggle on
Have a good day chums

dND could you put the wet wood into the builders bags and take to the tip along with the other stuff? One on each end if its too long to fit fully in one bag. I presume you want the wood drier so it doesn't make a mess in the car? Or spread the bags out in the boot and lay the wood on top if its branches not planks?
Empty them at the tip and when you take the bags home you can fill them as planned but also take at least one every time you go to the tip, so the pile decreases quicker than going out weekly or fortnightly ?

Hi, Thank you for my medal Mrs SD. I do feel it has been given under false pretences. When I say only the landing and small bedroom left to do I actually mean putting pictures and curtain poles up. It's taken me a while to think where I want the collection of pictures and mirrors to go. Then actually putting them up takes much longer than you would expect as some are heavy and need screws in the wall. There are still a few sad pictures with no home up the side of some drawers in the dining room. I think there is one that I could release, the rest I love.Decorating will be ages away as I will put it off as long as possible. I can decorate, I just don't like it.
TBH, I hadn't noticed a change in the format. doh! See what you mean about spacing. I haven't worked out how to do a paragraph in a piece of writing. Perhaps it's old fashioned these days.
Thanks Floss, for the idea of putting the pictures in the downstairs loo, never thought of that. I hate the downstairs loo. It is tiny, half badly tiled with masses of exposed pipes. It has a window and obviously a door. Currently I have stuck a Hokusai print in there. I bought a mirror but not enough space for it because of pipes. When It has it's transformation I have bought some wallpaper by Sanderson called allotments. I don't know if I will actually use it though, it may be too much in such a tiny space. Just thought, I could put the mirror where the picture is and put the smaller picture over the sink. That's a tomorrow job now.The small bedroom is very kitsch. My mouse in an object collection are in there and some other ornaments from the 60's. I should be able to squeeze the frames in there if I move stuff around. I bought the frames a long time ago and only just had the brainwave of putting the Spanish ladies in them.
The giant pile of muck in the front garden has been taken away. It has not improved things. All this rain has left us with a couple of ponds!

Wednesday is a lot brighter with some sunshine although it does feel cold 🥶 Forecast high of 9°C, low of 3°C & a light ESE wind. DH is braving the cold & is doing a bit of sorting out in the shed.
Liverpool_Anne, relieved to hear that the dentist visit went reasonably well 😮💨 although sorry to hear about the positioning of the chair during treatment & the subsequent wobbliness 😔 Excellent decluttering especially the emails 👏 The new layout is dreadful & when I looked at the ‘How To Guide’ for the the new text editor not only was it as clear as mud, I was annoyed to see that 1. there is no facility to partial quote anymore - one can either quote the whole post or manually type in the bit you want & 2. that it was a closed thread so unable to query the decision or ask questions 😖 I also have to say that contrary to info provided, the new format is definitely not intuitive 😞 London_1, you are definitely quite the social butterfly ☺️ Pleased to hear that the Hiawatha jacket sold so quickly 😊 Great decluttering of books 👏
daisy_1571, good idea 👏DH has cleared a space & swept out the shed & moved various bits from the garage to the shed including the bags of birdseed & box of fat cakes. He has also binned 4 empty bird seed sacks, a bag of detritus & some damp & greasy cardboard which I will count as 6. DH is now in the process of adjusting the shed door so it closes properly so I am awarding him his first medal 🏅 of 2026. I on the other hand am enjoying a bowl of hm soup 😉 Hope everyone is having as good a day as possible 🤞 See you later 👋
