I found a trolley token a couple of weeks ago, they do come in handy don't they.
Still feeling kinda awful but I need to take the dogs out again around 5:30.
Really hoping it stays dry over the next few days so I can recover quicker.
I wanted to spend today cleaning and decluttering but I swear something always comes up, family drama to deal with, sickness - so annoying.
Dug out some notebooks and I using one to write down all my monthly outgoings so that I can keep a better track on the funds.
One I'll use to keep a food diary.
Debt Free - 4th June 202521 -
My friend took the stuff from the porch - I was still asleep. She left the glass jugs I had ordered for in the fridge. Also left a SA songbook so I can decide on the 5th song. Mr F always said that his COL would take a while as he wanted 5 songs.
R came early and loaded his car with the stuff for the tip. R came in and had a coffee as he had plenty of time.
I sorted out the food cupboard and put a lot of storage containers on Freefle - someone has already asked for them. A freegler collected another item this morning. I am getting somewhere but doesn't show yet.
I popped in SA on my way to town. I cut up a panettone for the birds and fed them when I went past a suitable spot.
I got a form to renew my driving licence in the post office. The photo booth only takes contactless cards - mine aren't.
Had sort out of tins in the garage and got a black sack full ready for the bin or tip.

Been quiet the last few days but four electrical items have left the house today.
I struggle throwing things away so was glad they were taken to be recycled and given to people who might not have anything.
Lots of items will be donated to raffles this year for scouts and the band.

Evening all. Not much else done today. I did go down to put DS2's bin out and went on to MrA intending to collect my new glasses. When I got parked I realised I didn't have my hearing aide in to fit the glasses so I abandoned that idea and will go back tomorrow. Hair dresser and celebratory buffet for 10 years of our U3A. My sister sent a message to say her oldest friend in US had died yesterday - well in her nineties and ready to go but she was a great friend to my sister when she found herself a young mother, with no family of her own nearby, raising her babies in a strange country. She's been there 60 plus years now but it was only as we got older I realised how lonely it must sometimes have been in those days with no internet, email etc. Just letters and the occasional expensive phone call whereas I had our parents, grandma and siblings available on the phone and at birthdays and Christmas. We 'speak' to each other on WhatsApp almost every day now but things were different then. Whenever I hear the bit from Keats Ode to a Nightingale referencing the biblical Ruth 'standing in tears amid the alien corn' - I think of my sister. She has a had a good life there but I think there must have been those odd moments over the years. Enough seriousness. Sox has been asleep most of the day but has now decided to go in and out - stalking something I can't see in the back garden and checking the bowl to see if more treats have a arrived.
I spent nearly an hour verifying my identity with a QR code link - they didn't offer an alternative and I get confused! Some bits of DGCs decluttered back to DS2's house. A bit more wallpaper removed but not feeling very energetic today.

J called by on his way home from work at the school with my daughter - put my heavy bins out ready for collection.
A second item on Freegle was collected. I have someone collecting stuff on Saturday too.
I have carried on with sorting paperwork.
My youngest daughter said why don't I go to Church at my own corps on Sunday so it won't be the first time I have been back for worship - when we have the COL.
I started at the corps with Mr F and I don't know how I can go back to worship there without him. Mr F hadn't been with me to worship at my friend's corp so I can cope there.
I had a long spell of crying - my bestie phoned me and prayed.
My bestie says that I don't have to make a decision yet about where I will attend.
Decluttered today - a painting, plastic covers, paperwork, metal bits, paper folders, crate, ood food, food for birds, plastic containers, polystyrene packaging, cardboard box.

behind on the messages and the decluttering 😆 DS1 has escalated again and we had to go get him from York in crisis and he is now in hospital under section. This has scuppered all my grocery challenge and decluttering efforts! He’s safe and I need to try and get back on it so will start small with the bedroom bookcase tomorrow. Posting for a bit of accountability! Sold another vinted item so that will leave tomorrow also
Will try and keep up now!

@Liverpool_Anne Most of the front garden went to making another car parking spot as there is no on road parking for my house. Of the little bit that's left a large part will be flowerbed as it is moist but well drained and receives a reasonable amount of sun, (when the sun shines! 😁) The other side of that area is permanent shade in winter and more or less shade in summer so I've started planting mainly native plants there such as the UK native fritillary and the almost native snowdrop. Time will tell if they take hold. There's also a tiny area, about 3ft x 4ft which I'm managing as a 'meadow' having thrown some Pembrokeshire hay meadow seeds on there.
In the back garden, the top third is a patio/catio, the next third I'm putting in raised vegetable and fruit beds, raised in the hope I will be able to tend them for longer and the bottom third is the lowest area and is on a well line. The soil is almost peaty there with a 2ft bank and laurel hedge. because of the neighbours' high hedges and trees it gets only about an hour of early morning sun in winter. The pond is planned for one side, native ferns for the bank along with the wild garlic and foxgloves already there. There's also a small paved circular area where there used to be a child's roundabout so there will be very little grass left when it's done. It's actually mostly moss so I'll let that flourish. It's also the only space I have to put a washing line so I can't have anything tall growing there so no wildflower meadow but it can otherwise do it's own thing and it's where I will put the pallet insect house and a hedgehog den. That's the current cunning plan. 🤣
I didn't get a particularly good night last night so was really glad I had very little planned for today. I used the knitting group session to sew black buttons into the centers of a few more of the poppies I made in France. I need to track down the local Royal British Legion and see if they can make use of 500 or so poppies so I can declutter them.
Money was decluttered because walking to the wool shop where the group is held I spotted a cobblers who also cut keys. I don't know about you but there is no way I was going to put the only key I have into an unmanned box in a shopping arcade, (only option I had found up to then), and hope I got my key and a working copy back!
The afternoon was spent decluttering ironing and prepping the oranges ready for a marmalade session tomorrow. It looks like yet another rainy day here tomorrow so marmalade making will be a warm option. 😁
I really need another dry day to declutter some of the bramble that's topping the hedge in the back garden. Birds will be nesting before long so it has to be done before then and the kerbside collection of garden waste starts again in 2 weeks. 😁Dxx

Crawling along this side and not yet done the rest of DS's room as been busy at work. However, I think the little bit that is left mainly needs tidying and cleaning rather than much to declutter. I'm still not through wearing all my winter clothes, so I will continue that job into Feb before picking a new challenge (which will probably be to use up kitchen cupboard stuff).
However, I have gone through the xmas cards and made them all into brand new cards (by cutting off the front and sticking it to new cardboard). Free cards for next year! I've still got some very small scraps of xmas wrapping paper to use. I have loads of tags, so will probably make them into more xmas cards.
