New Capita-run Civil Service Pension Scheme - problems (what a surprise!)

Given Annual Benefit Statement 2026 is due by 31st August, I'm not sure why there is an aim to reproduce out-of-date ABSs
I somewhat agree with you in terms of prioritisation. HOWEVER, in the circumstances I very much welcome the opportunity to do a like for like comparison of a MyCSP and a Capita ABS.
Especially as someone with Added Pension and EPA.
Earlier this year we finally got an ABS for my wife's public sector scheme for the first time in three years. When it was finally published, all her Added Pension was missing.

I’ve not yet bothered to try and register on the new portal, thankfully I’ve no real need to, other than to look at my pension payslips, but some colleagues have with varying degrees of success; some data is on there, some is still to be transferred over from what I gather.
the whole thing is a right mess - they should bring it back in house instead of farming it off to the cheapest option0 -
The civil service pension website is back up after maintenance
I have worked in the same civil service department from 1991 until now minus privatisation from 2001 to 2003 when I then got reinstatement into the same department.
My pension record now shows inland revenue from 2003 to 2003 twice and my correct department from 2023 onwards
I have never worked for the Inland Revenue
Glad I save 5 years worth of ABS's as well as saving the ABS showing my deferred pension from 1991 - 2001

I am STILL unable to register my Email as a NEW account

I get as far as the password and it tells me AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED PLEASE TRY LATER !!
And I cannot ask for help because you have to be logged in to use HELP

I had some problems registering using Chrome but it worked on Firefox. Go figure.
Crapita are working on it and have promised to catch up. The weekend update brought some minor enhancement on the web portal but you have to think about the back-orifice (sorry Microsoft) systems because that is probably where the major malfunctions are.

OK I thought that I was in - but was told that I had done "something" wrong and needed to phone them - which I cannot do - so tried CHAT…
But after going through my life history verifying my ID via DOB/ni number/post code/length of inner thigh etc etc - I was faced with "all busy please try later"..
And the worst thing is that LIVE CHAT times you out despite the delays not being my fault
GRRRRRRR !

Logged in yesterday.
At least on this occasion I can see I'm a deferred member of said scheme but nothing else.
No reference to the Alpha and Premium entitlements.
Hey ho, lol!

Myself and it seems everyone I work with had an issue yesterday where all our recorded service was around 3 years and 322 days.
Today that has completely disappeared as has my DiS nomination.
We were told on the Friday about 1pm that the old portal would be removed at 4pm ish however long ago that was. I as many others were on leave that day weren't aware until the following Monday. I don't have any of my ABS downloaded as I thought they were safe in the portal, so I have no formal record of what my last update was beyond rough figures in my head.
Angela MacDonad told us that most ABS statements would be online today, seems not.
She also told us that average wait time for calls being answered is 2 minutes 3 seconds, and 70% are answered in less than 30 seconds, yet colleagues are reporting 1 hour waits.
Lots of colleagues have now withdrawn and are now having to work potentially another year, somewhat at odds with the 10% headcase reduction.
My department are going through Voluntary Early release, and I understand 34 other departments are doing the same, all members exiting are having their payments administered by Capita, due for payment end September, not sure how many will be brave enough to accept VES with zero confidence in Capita to pay them what they are owed.
At least I have time on my side though at that point Capita will probably be in for another stab at it.
Working in procurement I am absolutely astounded that Capita keep getting Contracts…
Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
Make £2024 in 2024...1 -
Crapita were handed a complete basket case by their predecessors. They are working on it.
But if you think that contract was bad how about giving the NHS to Palantir?? Talk about Dracula and the bloodbank.

If it hasn't been handed back to MyCSP by then ……😏
