New Capita-run Civil Service Pension Scheme - problems (what a surprise!)

Nothing in the portal has changed, the money just landed in my account. I’ve not had my finalisation letter yet, I guess that will arrive at some point.

it seems from what colleagues have said that they are getting money to people rather than paperwork.
who knows when or if they will ever get everything done, like option choices, pay awards that need to be factored in, transfers etc.Absolutely diabolical situation

i often wonder if I’ll still be posting the same snagging list here in six months time on the anniversary of my retirement, e.g. missing month of pension, missing WPS refund, increase due to a pay award from a year ago, interest and compensation.

Bit of a disappointing, yet very unsurprising read, knowing all the chaos, uncertainty and disappointment that many of us have had to put up with regarding Capita's inadequate dealings with the pensions side of things. 😣 I still have fingers and toes crossed that my partial retirement quote gets to my door before the end of the month (but not holding my breath!) 😁
Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? Mary Oliver

Hi,
I requested my pension quote back in October 25 (to MyCSP on their system) and again in November 25 (by registered post) and then again in December 25 to Capital.
I wanted my pension from early February 2026.
I received an email in early April 2026 to tell me to wait - I am in a queue!
Then nothing since.
I'm getting worried now as others appear to receiving payments with much later retirement dates than mine.
So, I'm looking for some reassurance on here, that I'm not alone.
Is there anyone else still waiting to hear anything, with a retirement date in February 26 or before?
Perhaps I could try to create a poll - if only I knew how.
Many thanks.0 -
You are far from alone.

Both those articles are from the last week.
You are most certainly not the only one,

If this is a Civil Service pension, there's a whole thread about it.

If it's a private pension with Capita (as mine is), that's a worry.0 -

As you applied before 1 December 2025, your pension should have been sorted by the end of April according to the recovery timetable. It looks instead that you are being treated as a post 1st December applicant, perhaps due to the multiple applications.
Many things on the recovery timetable have not been done at all, or only partially completed, so it is no big surprise that you are still outstanding.
The current position is that everything is due to be back to acceptable operating standards by the end of June. That appears very unlikely. There is a Public Accounts Committee hearing on this scheduled for the 7th July. I suspect not much will move on before that hearing, so it may be easiest to wait another month for the next big round of updates to be available.

I've had Capita from every which way.
I've been a customer of their Pension Admin and Council Tax Admin functions (must be others)
I've been a purchaser of their consulting/bodyshopping services.
Even managed to be employed by them.
None of these experiences filled my life with joy.
