This morning I put on a skirt I have never worn before. I bought it on vinted about 2 years ago and it was too tight so I grumpily shoved it in a drawer and forgot about it. I thought I'd just check it again this morning and it does actually fit now (although still a little snug at the waist - no big meals for me today or I'll pop the button!). I've paired it with a lovely jumper with stars on to get in the festive spirit.10

We’ve opened two advent calendars this morning - the conventional one was a picture of mistletoe and Mr KK’s gift, from his best mate last night, is full of tiny, rubbery, slightly squashed WW2 planes. I think Mr KK is slightly offended by it, truth be told - I’m trying to encourage him to laugh at it! 😉

I'm wearing yesterday's purple pompom earrings (I'm in the office today so people will actually see them 😂). Today's offering from the jewellery stash was a little badge with a picture of a chicken on 😂😂 I'm wearing a jacket so it's pinned to my lapel 😂
The habit I'm trying to instill in December is a bit of yoga every day, following the monthly plan on the Yoga with Adreiene youtube channel. Did one last night, and today's was only 20 minutes so I did it before I left for work. 😊10 -

This thread is so joyous. I love reading about and seeing everyone's treasures. How marvellous to have a chicken badge to wear to the office, skirts that now fit and graduation earrings to enjoy.
i went to see my 3 year old granddaughter's nursery festive song show this morning. Full of admiration for the staff herding a dozen 3 year olds and getting them all singing the same song and doing the same actions at the same time. It was in the local church coffee shop so the older customers loved seeing the little ones.
I chose a sparkly jumper and my new (bargain from vin ted) snowflake earrings. Squirt of perfume and some tasty lip balm/gloss and i felt full of the joy of Advent.12 -
Resting again today but feeling a bit better. I have remembered a pair of very cozy soft wool socks that I never wear as they wash differently to the rest so I am wearing them on the sofa today. Happy fuzzy feet day everyone!9

Love this idea easy to forget about finding joy in the small things especially at this time of year
yesterday I swapped out the kids regular fleeces for Xmas themed ones
today I’m trial baking a gluten/dairy free peppermint bark sheet cake - hoping it turns out ok. if so it’ll go on the Xmas buffet menu - also having a sort out if the food cupboard & found a few items pushed to the back we’re not likely to use which can be donated.
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk8
