I love a huge and fresh satsuma. Yum.3

Another fan of satsumas. So refreshing and cheerful. Also far easier to peel than so called easy peelers.3

Where did I come from? Occasionally I find some fruit that is so zingy and delicious, it reminds me of what fruit used to taste like.redofromstart said:My festive joy today was a really simple thing. A huge satsuma, really fresh and tasty. Not the the pathetic dried out things I reluctantly buy from the SM but twice the size and just glorious. It tasted just like my memory of when you got one in the toe of your stocking as a child. Full points to the generous friend who remembered that I like them and kindly got me eight as a present, I shall enjoy every segment. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.6 -
Ooh, a really nice satsuma is a joy indeed! I've had some mightily disappointing ones lately.
Not really a festive joy, but I was in a strop so I opened a box of lindt white chocolate balls I bought for a present 😬 ridiculous really, a rather expensive snack! They are extremely tasty though 🤭7 -
Went to visit Santa yesterday, wore a Xmas jumper followed by putting up the outside Christmas lights. Popped out for a drink in the evening so wore a sparkly top.
Today will finish decorating the tree and have a roast dinner.5 -
Over here the bike club Christmas meal was lovely last night, and I sat next to a couple whose sense of humour is great, and both tell a great anecdote. Excellent fun. Home by 11pm too, so up this morning at 6.00 and three batches of sourdough are underway. First is ready to knock back so won't dally.
Today DS is coming about 11.00 to help Mr Sl put the outside lights up. In the meantime, a large shoulder of pork is in the simmering oven after about half an hour in the hot oven first. Lunch at lunch time! whatever next? - With DS's P working Christmas, I shall make it festive and special for her.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £10,020.92 out of £6000 after September

Today's jewellery is some earrings I wear fairly often but think of as summer earrings, but they're actually working very well as a bit of winter shine. Also a silver pink cut glass and diamanté ring for extra cheer.
Mr PIP has decided to make a mini roast today so a very Christmassy dinner 🥂

Dug out a pendant I never wear for work, so end up never wearing at all and a pair of earrings that have a bit of sparkle to them 😊
I am also wearing stripey socks that make me smile every time I see them 😊
Due to loading the freezer with a batch this morning I have moved a mushroom wellington I bought in a while ago, up to the kitchen freezer to try for dinner tonight. Feels quite indulgent 😊

Look at you all with your pretty jewellery! Nowt fancy for me today - I'm at my mother's fitting a carpet so it's not really the time for that 😂 Still, there was a lovely sunset this morning, I did my yoga session before I set off, and we have had a mince pie, so still feeling festive. And it means we can shift the wardrobe out of her living room so she can put her Christmas tree up 🎄
Then I'm off to band rehearsal, where we're going to run through the whole set for our Christmas concert next week, so that'll make me feel even more festive! 😊7 -
Cosy highland cow socks today. I'm wearing my snowflake earrings again and my jumper that I think has snowflakes on it but a grandchild said oh I love your firework jumper. It's given the jumper a chance to literally shine again for Divali and Bonfire Night.
we had a Christmas roast at the pub today. It was really tasty and there was joy in no prepping, cooking or clearing up. Just required us to eat and enjoy.10
