We finally got 11 boxes of bee-related stuff back up in the loft. I might yet make some soap and more candles but for now, it is making room for the Christmas Dec's to come down, ahead of DS coming to do the ladder climbing instead of Mr Sl, to get the outdoors done. I shall leave indoors until next week, which is altogether quieter in terms of my planned activities.
Of course as soon as the loft hatch was open and the ladder was down, both the dog and cat had to join us on the landing, both in turn with their paws on the bottom step or the one above, assessing whether they could join me, on y knees in the loft, as I slid and heaved the stuff around.
Then it was off to a local pub for a Christmas lunch someone else organised. It was nine of us (one drops out of everything) and good company in pleasant surroundings with nice food (OK the plates would have improved had they been warmer, but they fed maybe 70 people out of a tiny kitchen and I thought they did really well). I wore my black velvet skirt and brown sequinned blouse and shoes, proper shoes. It was only when I got home and took them off that I realised I had lost both heel rubbers. So they need reheeling!
So to today. I'm wearing my festive sausage dog Santa warm brushed cotton nightie. Got to love a bit of lolling in my nightie. I might use the new Vacuum cleaner which does not make me sneeze, and do a festive dust and cobweb capture if I'm feeling keen later. Perhaps I will just have another coffee and write some cards first...
Loving the earrings KK, by the way. I love a pair of dangly ones!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £10,020.92 out of £6000 after September

@Suffolk_lass, thank you

For a while I tried to be a 'grown up' in a work setting and wear studs of various types, but they just never felt like me, so I am back to dangly earrings of all kinds

Today's combination is a rose quartz pendant - not a pretty setting but it's a nice stone, and daisy earrings that are making me think of sunshine

Ooh, a lovely combination! 😊
I'm a big fan of dangly earrings and never feel quite dressed if I'm not wearing them 😂 On this weekend's list is to hunt out some more jewellery to fill the rest of the advent drawers - I KNOW I have some proper festive earrings somewhere, but where??
Today though, a new (to me) charity shop scarf with wintery red berries, and some red earrings 😊
Candlelit yoga this morning, going out for a cuppa with Mr C for the first time in a week (there will likely be a mince pie), then off for a pre-christmas hair cut later and some Christmas shopping 😊6 -
Here are all my slightly festive berries 😊

Oops, too busy yesterday to post but I am keeping up with drinking the Christmas coffee, taking a few more berries from the freezer each day and wearing some of the neglected perfume.
DH is off to his Auntie's for a pre-Christmas traditional visit so I have the house to myself till Sunday. I've started today by clearing out the coffee-cupboard-of-antiquity. My family always buy me coffees and not one of them noticed that I wasn't getting through them. The current one (hazelnut flavour: it smells gorgeous) is actually dated BB December 2021, and it's one of the newer ones! A while ago I rounded up some that probably wouldn't be missed and donated them to DD as she and her husband tolerate caffeine better than I do. To be honest it's the caffeine levels as much as anything that have put me off using them: I have had anxiety attacks caused by a few days of too much caffeine, so I know to take it easy.
Before you say 'They will all be tasteless if they're that old', nearly all are still vacuum packed and the one I am drinking is in an airtight tin and still tastes okay - I can't be precise about how it tastes as I've still got a cold. If they are horrible when opened, there's always the compost.
Anyhoo... I found more 'festive' coffee for when this is finished. I have the choice of BB Dec 2022 or BB Dec 2021! There also a Figgy Plum Pudding (BB Nov 2022) which is fruit so I don't need to think about the caffeine.
When I've finished clearing the cupboard and it's nice and clean, yes, they will all go back, but with a starter plan to get through some of it, which I hope is a kindness to my future self.
By the time that and my (neglected) Advent reading are done, I hope the rain will have stopped. There are chocolate bits to buy for stocking fillers, some socks to question with the shop (the multi-buy discount I thought I was getting hasn't been applied) and a pre-schoolers' Nativity story to prepare for Sunday.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)
