I told MD I was still planning on leaving first thing Monday morning. First thing Wednesday morning, he came back to me and asked if I would work part time until Christmas. I said I'd think about it. I dont know why, guilt maybe? Anyway, he asked me Friday if I'd thought about it and again, i told him I will be leaving. I hope it has finally sunk in! If he had just considered my request seriously in the beginning, i would probably be staying, but he ignored it and it made me realise that I am just a number and 8 years of that is enough!

So on to the positive news of the week, I have new leaflets and business cards which I will start dishing out around the village next week. My last day is 5th August and puppy will begin her journey to the UK from Ireland on 5th August and we will get her 6th August! I've had my hair cut which always feels nice and I'm just feeling excited for the future 🙂

Mortgage overpayments will have to cease for now which is sad but I will get back to that asap! I dont want to have to leave the forum 😅

Ooh, lots of good news in there 😀! It will be interesting to see how quickly the MD gets your role advertised (it doesn't look like you'll have time to give any kind of handover to an external candidate, as you'll already be gone), or if his head remains firmly in the sand!

Its been a tiring week. Work, cleaning and then I'd agreed to look after my brothers dogs (3 of them) and cats (2 of them) so there's been a lot of cycling back and forth from his to ours and then I've not slept in my own bed for 3 nights. Felt so tired this morning. Came home, showered and washed my hair, me and DH then went out to buy some stuff for puppy and then we came home and I slept for a couple of hours.

8 more working days at current company. They're not replacing me at the moment, I'm just handing over to a colleague who was very silly and volunteered. Don't think she realised i do as much as I do, she was a bit frazzled after sitting with me the other day. I cant wait to leave in all honesty, they've not been horrible to me about leaving but they're certainly not happy and are being a bit funny with me. Oh well!

In happy news:

• I've finally finished the book I've had on the go for the past few months, it wasn't great but I did want to know how it ended so stuck with it. It's gone in a box for the moment and I'll be putting all books I read and don't want to keep in there to see if I can sell them before donating them.
• I watched the last series of Brassic at my brothers, along with the latest series of Gangs of London and then started The Five Star Weekend which I absolutely love.
• I've just watched Project Hail Mary which was fab and made me cry a bit!
• I've got my washing washed, dried on the line and put away.
• I made a cheeky £30 overpayment to the mortgage.
• I've got a new cleaning customer ready to go w/c 10th August!
