He sounds like a Dk head. Sorry to be blunt.
When you go part time you bleeding well do part time work - YOU should not to be expected to do 40 hours of work in 20. Omg I'm angry for you. They should hire another part timer to make up the hours not expect to get effectively cheap labour from you if part time and do ALL the work. 😠 Idiot.

Thank you everyone again for all the advice and support. I really appreciate it x ❤️
I felt a lot better yesterday about it all. I'd come to the conclusion Thursday night that I am still definitely leaving and all I was doing was considering staying out of respect for lovely boss and because of work bestie and a few other fantastic people I work with. However, this is about me and not them and I owe it to myself to look after my health, physically and mentally. Me and DH have discussed it and because we have been so sensible with our money (a big thanks to Martin Lewis, this forum and you lovely lot) we can afford for me to do this.
We have a good amount in savings currently between the both of us (DH has been squirreling away while i was paying off the previous mortgage) With the current hours I do cleaning, I'm already halfway there to earning what I earn now. The customers I have told about going fulltime with my cleaning (and other help) have all been very positive and asked for my updated leaflets/business cards to pass out to their friends and family and I have two new customers lined up ready to go. My dad has updated my leaflets and business cards (hes a graphic designer) and sent them off to be printed. I'm looking forward to focusing on my business and that I'm making money for me/us, not for anyone else.
Now I just have to break the news to MD and get through my final few weeks!

When I set up as self employed local council ran lots of free courses looking at the various aspects - marketing, tax, legal etc. Very useful and a useful networking tool to as you meet so many people in the same position but all setting up different things

I can’t believe you’re expected to do your full time job in half the hours. It really sounds like self employment is the right way to go. Whatever you decide I hope it all works out for the best for you.
