Happy belated birthday Jessy! I loved turning 40! It was one of my happiest milestone birthdays. I hope your year is as happy 😊.

As for work. I toyed with the same idea of home help/ cleaner as I have skills/experience for both and you're in a far better position than me as you're already with clients which could spread the word for you! Can you advertise in the local post office / co-op / pub notice board and see if you can get some extra clients over the next month or so in order to give up paid employment and go fully self employed? Can you get to the next villages along if needed to spread a bit further for clients?

Depending on how good you are with a screwdriver you could also offer small furniture assembly. I also follow someone on Instagram who does some kind of takeaway supper club once a month in her area, she sticks up the planned menu a few weeks in advance and people order however much they want.

If you're doing elderly person meal prep for one client then you could look at getting your kitchen food hygiene approved and then maybe offer some kind of meal service once a month for others in your area. Once the cold weather is here something like homemade soup, a vegetable stew (which you could cook in the slow cooker the night before to save some time) and a fruit crumble might be appealing to people who want something homemade but have no energy for it.

Thank DFW x Unfortunately, at the moment i can't advertise and take on any new clients as I'm working 50hours a week now, so I dont want to do anymore, burn myself out and make myself ill.

Thanks VH x Funnily enough I took a drill to a customer a couple of weeks ago and put her some coat hooks up, she then told me she would have a lot of other jobs for me to do 😅. I then made a set of drawers at home that was flat packed, so I am learning these little bits to be able to do handy stuff like that too. DH said some older ladies might feel more comfortable having another lady in the the house doing these things, so definitely something I am looking into.

The meals on wheels is a great idea but with 2 (soon to be 3 dogs) I'm not sure i would be able to get that kitchen hygiene certificate 😅

Had a lovely day yesterday. After cleaning, my work friends came round and we had a nice evening sitting out in the garden. DH went and picked up pizzas for us (he got a free one for being the delivery man) and work bestie had baked me a cake 😋 Drink and merriment was had! Only a little spoilt by next door deciding to cut his grass at 8:30pm! Maybe we were being too loud for him?! Anyway, my response was to turn up the music and talk louder 🤣 Everyone was picked up and gone by 9pm, so not sure what his issue was. I shall make a mental note that if he has friends over one evening to make sure I mow my lawn at that time. I might be 40 now, but I'm not beyond being petty 🤣

Today I have a cleaning job which is actually a paint a ceiling job and then a nice relaxing afternoon. Still need to work on my cross stitch project!

I've cashed out on a few survey sites this week so that's been a nice little boost to funds.
