Annoying that you seem to be being taken for granted - the one rule for some attitude is definitely one of the things that grinds my gears in life THE most.

Monday morning and I'm still in bed! 😱 Usually my mornings start at 5:30am so this is a lovely treat. DH has just made me a cup of tea as well, so I'm living my best life right now. 😆

My bestie came over yesterday and she bought me a card and gifts. We sat in the garden having a good catch up and put the world to rights. Then I managed to get two loads of washing done and dry. That is one positive to this heatwave.

Today I have a lazy morning planned and then 3 hours of cleaning this afternoon. This evening I want to pick up a cross stitch again that I had been working on for a friend but have not finished and its been months now. All I need to do is the last section of flowers and I'm done so that is my target for the week. To finally finish it and get it sent off to her.

The big 4 0!

Today is my 40th birthday. Not sure how to feel about it really. I don't feel any different at the moment! Just another day on planet earth 🤣 I've opened my cards and presents, got some lovely stuff and some money too.

DH is taking me to the shopping centre in a bit so I can buy some new trainers and a coat. We'll then have a nice meal at a restaurant there. Later we're popping round to my parents house as my mum has baked me a cake! 😋

Mortgage balance is currently £188,563. Unfortunately no overpayment today as yesterday I decided to pay my tax bill and get that out of the way! Interestingly, yesterday morning I got a message from one of my customer's sons asking if I would be interested in going round to his mums more often, 3 or 4 times a week at lunch or dinner time as she keeps forgetting to eat and I would help her get food ready to make sure she has something. This has really been food for thought (excuse the pun) as me and DH have been talking about me doing more than just cleaning and expanding to be more 'home help' covering not just cleaning but a bit of gardening, helping prepare meals and little handy jobs. This message has just cemented that people do want or need this sort of stuff with an ageing population and I could do it! Now seriously considering just handing my notice in at work when I go back next week and doing it. I have some savings to make up the difference between earnings for my half of the bills for several months until I am making what I need to to cover all of them. Definitely some soul searching and thinking to be done!

I was at a coffee morning and a lady dropped in to chat she had was doing a card drop for a new service she is starting: light housekeeping/laundry/errands/meal prep/medication assistance/personal care/companionship/pet sitting/dog walking etc., my neighbour immediately asked if she woul change her bed linen and do some light housework. I think you would do really well😃
