Nsd8 achieved today, 9 tomorrow, 10 on Wednesday, 11 on Thursday and 12 on Friday. Yes, I am on expenses!
Work was a breeze today. Lovely people but in a very cold sports hall. I think we have now sorted the heating and we have a kettle so we can make tea. Luxury.
Came home to a 13c living room brrrr! Told DH off - he had a hot water bottle for his back pain and was working upstairs which is much warmer than the ground floor, but still! Took ages to warm it up, and i still couldn't get it over 17.5 degrees with the central heating. Small fan heater was def a good buy.
Gratitudes - having a kettle at work, hot water bottles, confirmation we will be paid at the end of this month not next month.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Good morning,
was planning on cycling to work again but not in snowy rain. Maybe tomorrow again, might pop to the gym instead plus that means free proper hot shower.
NSD number 10 today.
Today I'm grateful for hubby drinking less, him cooking dinner last night, crips fresh winter air with a hint of wood smoke, finishing DS winter hat with stalk eyes ( he's a 14 goofy guy that doesn't care what people think, long may it last).
Stay warm and dryfinally tea total but in still in (more) debt (Oct 25 CC £1800, loan £6453, mortgage £59,924/158,000)5 -

7NSDs.
Have had so many xmas deliveries this month, and had to pop out to cornershop twice for milk or bread so this weeks notot been a NSD week at all.Am doing my next grocery delivery order now. I am not buying stuff for the freezer as I am trying to eat down what I have. Will do that for perhaps another week then do a big shop of veggies meat and fish and a few ready made things for me for the times I am just too shattered to cater for myself. I want to restock a healthy freezer. Not bothered so much about xmas this year. DS1 is bringing our dinner, and the big family usual crazy gathering is at DS2 house. Not likely to be dishing out alcohol as everyone visits in cars, and the days of 6 hour long boozy gatherings no longer occur,so I need so much less for xmas food and drink. Instead I have just given DD1 £150 that I wont be spending to help her with her 3 daughters and 6 great grandkids visits. She recently broke up with her partner and finds life financially hard. She has a 30 mile journey to work and has to go through the Tyne Tunnell twice a day, exhausting,,slow and very expensive,so she was depressed about xmas,At least she can be able to entertain her family ,one burden less.
My new bank accounts opened on Monday. Had difficulty getting in,dont know if it was because it was Monday morning but I made half a dozen attempts and spent so so long looking things up online trying to see what was wrong. Then left it for 2 hours and approached it in a different way and it went as nice as ninepence. Current Account and savings are linked and the first thing I did was set up an emergency fund ''pot'' of £500 switched over from my CA. Went perfectly. Waiting now to see if the direct debits etc go through perfectly, but not looking forward to informing all my usual sites that I have new card etc. Very tedious but one off work that hopefully goes well.

Well done @beanielou! Has your new walker arrived yet?
Yesterday & today NSDs, think it's 6 now.
Very productive before work today - Norwegian practiced, exercises done & made a pasta concoction to last me 3 days for dinners, oh & dropped DS3's GF home too.
Emptied a large bag of mixed things & put them all away in our bedroom. Found a new notepad from my stash for shopping lists. Had a 20min nap after tea, then DS3 & friend needed a lift back from the bus stop. Hàd a very long bath, then some knitting.
Had sleet & snow today, but the ground's too wet for it to come to much!
Grateful for only needing to drive 5 miles to collect DS, not 14 miles each way, chat about our girly weekend & getting the paperwork through for DS1's carUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Good morning! Weather report from LeShire - cold and rather jolly wet! No white stuff or ice stuff. I wish the weather forecasters would stop with the scare tactics.Driving to work earlier as I left 90 minutes for my 60 minute journey yesterday, and only just made it. So leaving 2 hours early instead. I think the cold snap has forced everyone into their cars, it was horrendous. Never mind! I got to practice driving in the dark, and only went wrong once on the way back.Apologies if any turtle beeped at me on a roundabout, I was in the right lane, it said so in big white writing on the road. I hope you got home safely. Slow the flip down.
We all just want to get home. Chill! I can't remember the last time someone beeped at me! So today is day 3 of 5 working, I am already being asked what to do, and what is going on. It turns out a calm, utterly unjustified, air of confidence goes a long way.In ultimate MSEness, I have cleared a couple of unwanted opened packets of teabags and a jar of coffee from my pantry and put them on the kettle table. Some people will literally drink anything if it is free. Animals. I will not be restocking, it is purely to get an empty coffee jar really.
