Diabetic eye exam went well, despite my stressing - at one point I had to tell myself firmly that i had 2 hours to get there and there was a second bus if I missed the one I preferred. Got off at the community shop on the way back and spent £25. That includes lots for Christmas including 6 packs of salami for £2, 3 packs of prawn lollipops, 2 packs of rainbow falafel and a pack each of bean burgers and pumpkin and spinach burgers. Veg was a bit limited - I only got mushrooms. Bananas were 5 bunches for £1 but I like them under ripe. lots of lemons and limes, red cabbage and swede (but I have half a red cabbage on the chopping board and swede is even tougher to cut although I think I used a tip about putting it in the microwave last time)

3 heavy bags to haul back on the walker and they took it in turns to fal off as I was getting down the steps. A lovely woman picked them all up and held them until I was safely outside and other people asked if I needed help. Collapsed on the couch and picked lunch from the bags. Put away the freezer food and then slept, and slept. Today is a tidy up day but I'm doing it slowly.

Grateful for NHS, bud drivers, helpful staff and customers and the Community shop itself. My pills arrived (and my supplements but only noticed them later) whilst I was out so they've been decanted into a box and my 'week's worth' of pills has been rationalised. It needs more work but may wait until the end of the week as nearly all the old batch of pills will be used by then.

I am in week 2 of a horrible cold, and have as usual lost track of NSDs. I have opted out of work tomorrow as I am kept awake at night coughing and can't cope with it at the moment. Hopefully I will feel up to going in on Friday, as staffing is always an issue, and I hate letting everyone down.
Anyway, enough complaining. I have cleaned out the fridge, made leftovers soup for lunch (better than it sounds - I pot roasted a pheasant yesterday, and used the best of the leftover meat, plus the veg and stock, added some fresh veg, redcurrant jelly and a drop of port (from a mini bottle I was given ages ago, not something I would drink) and it is probably quite a posh soup  :D  The dog can have the more gnarly meat bits for his dinner, instead of having to open a tin of dog food. The pheasant was gifted to OH, so cheap meals for us all.
Whizzed up some rather shrivelled tomatoes and some basil that was in the Lidl reduced veg box and froze for when I next make a pasta sauce or similar. The fridge is all clean now, I know exactly what is in there, and nothing will be wasted  :)
I have a load of washing in the machine that can be pegged outside once done - if it isn't raining or damp, it dries a bit at least, and can be finished off on the airer overnight.
Other than that, I need to do some bank stuff.
And I have some chicken drumsticks out of the freezer to do for dinner, with fried potatoes (more leftovers) and some ratatouille from the freezer, so that will be easy  :)
Grateful for getting some useful stuff done, and a bright, if cold day  :)

    Hey guys,

today and yesterday were nsds, so on 15 now. Happy with that. I’ve finally started Christmas shopping and had ordered things at the weekend that have started to arrive, now I need to sort through, write down what I have and wrap them. I’ve been saving for a holiday next year and this month I’ve gone over the halfway mark so that’s something to feel positive about.

Lots of lurgies around at the moment, so sending hugs if you are poorly.

Best thing today - roommate G ate something after 4 plus days of not eating so I didn't have to call the paramedics this time around. Thinks he is going to make a "Thanksgiving" dinner tomorrow. Not sure he can even stand up as he is still drunk. Church delivered food that we shared with the neighbor. Read a book.

Sending hugs. Stay warm and dry everyone.

Wow. 9 days since I checked in with the NSTs.Hectic time lots of stress. Mr Dusty had a really bad cold and it as ever led to strange behaviour. He got very aggressive we had a tussle and what frightens me is how amazingly strong he is at such times. He wrenched my arms and knocked me to the floor which didnt help my bad back and shoulders. He becomes a complete stranger at such times, hard eyed and obdurate,no amount of pleading or trying to reason with him helps. It took several days for me to get back to what passes for health with me,and the lack of red blood cells available to my useless body is a major problem I have done nothing for 2 weeks only prioritising cooking and looking after Mr D. All the xmas gifts are still piled up in the living room, plus all the bottles so I look like a raging alcoholic. And multiple boxes of chocs. Plus all the bags just waiting for me to have the focus and strength to sort them out. 90 mins max if only I could summon up the strength..
Biggest issue at the moment is my bad circulation. The end joints on all my fingers are white,no blood, and the joints are super swollen so I can barely bend my fingers at all..Typing  with my right middle finger because its the best of a bad bunch.
Anyway calm is restored for now on the home front. Finally have an appointment booked for my B12.On the 1st of December.. Hope this torturous 3 months will sink into the past quickly.and a better 3 months is ahead.
Managed 12/12 NSDs but have food deliveries and amaz*n things coming so doubt if it will increase beyond 12,but with all the unusual number of deliveries for xmas I am satisfied with getting to 12. at ll. lol.
Mr D got up very late had late breakfast so he will be having dinner at 2pm. Its a chinese takeaway so only needs reheating. I want to make a start packing away at least 60% of Mr Ds clothes. Many are now far too big(he has lost at least 20lbs over the last year and a half} but he is adamant I am not to throw them away so its going to be tricky getting him to let me even pack them away.Talk about being a clothes horse. He has 16 pairs of footwear,18 shirts and probably 8 or 10 coats  and  4 suits. He takes up all the wardrobe space in the house. He just finds it highly amusing when I rant about him hogging all the space.  :D

Today is NSD15. Tomorrow should be payday, and I am going to have to fill up the car with petrol, buy coffee grounds for December, and do a mini shop for the weekend. Very mini mini shop.

@dustydigger have you spoken to anyone about Mr DD's behaviour when unwell? I worry for your safety.
