Morning all! Wont say good morning because surprise surprise its pouring with rain yet again.
Unbelievably its now December,Xmas only 24 days away.
But I've broken the back of the necessary work. All the xmas gift bags packed by family are ready, except for 5 magazines and a few books as stocking fillers. The books for DS1 are due tomorrow, the mags I will get today from the newsagents, when I FINALLY go for my B12 jab. Longest 3 months of my life.
Have brought down all the tree and Xmas decorations from on top of the wardrobe, and will put up the tree etc maybe Wednesday or maybe next weekend,no hurry. Family now congregate at DS2 house for Xmas,I am saving about £150 on food and drink that I used to spend hosting the family gatherings.I was able to give that amount as a gift for DD1 to help her out with Xmas for her large family..
Mr D had a good weekend, getting over his cold,so calmer and more reasonable.
He had a great morning yesterday watching 3 weeks Match of the Day episodes,he hasnt been well enough to focus on them in November. He was delighted at how well our local team Sunderland is doing.FOURTH in the Premier, after 6 or 7 years in the wilderness of the Championship. And he was laughing at some comments made by political commentators on news items. So thats good.Clarity comes and goes,we enjoy it when we can.
About getting help from people as Nancy in America and others were asking about. DS1 pays for a monitoring agency on our behalf. There is a box linking us to carers if we need help, and I wear a wrist band which I can press if I need help.It came in handy during a manic episode last year. I phoned them at midnight and they sent a young man within 20 minutes. They send interesting and informative emails regularly and could arrange various forms of help if needed, but for now I am trying to keep life as normal as possible, though I know later we will be relying on them more.
So today will be busy. Have ordered meds for Mr D,answered online posts and mail, and must be off now to wash my hair and sort clothes to go to the docs after dinner..Am doing a blitz on Mr Ds clothing this week. He has no less than 3 wardrobes devoted to his clothesMy things hang on the back of doors. But months ago he started thi current craze of changing his clothes many times a day, often wearing up to 4 layers of clothes. He has removed everything from his wardrobes and they lie in tangled heaps all over his bedroom.on chairs and furniture. Last week hecarefully and neatly filled 3 of his drawers with his shoes. He has 16 pairs of footwear! One by one they are coming out on the floor again.Hopefully when my B12 helps me to have a bit strength soon I will pack up and weed out clothes and footwear and try to get that wreck of a room sorted. I have been too weak to do anything for the last few months. When I see Grandmanerd's posts I sometimes wonder if I had posted them while in a daze! lol.
I'm afraid NOWember was a bit of a fizzle out,I did manage 12 NSDs,and did some reading and maths early in the month but most things were sporaic to say the least. here's hoping December will go better.
Oh,but I did manage another full alcohol free month. Thats 5 in a row I think. My yearly goal was 300 AFDs,and I reach that exactly in November. 300 free days. Cool!8 -
Thank you to everyone for coming along with me during NOWvemberSee you on the other side!
