Aww poor T, back pain is horrible 😢 We bought a TENS machine when DH hurt his back during Covid and we couldn't get out to see anyone. It really helped him and we've both used it since with any back/shoulder pain. It's quite addictive once you start!

DS and family still living with us and no news on when they'll move into their new house...however, DH and I are away this weekend for a wedding so will get a bit of peace and quiet 🤣

My usual £5 this week. I'm going to scour the streets for some roadkill and hope to be as lucky as @AntoMac 😉 Enjoy the weekend xxx

Thanks so very much LMD, T's certainly been through it lately, but thankfully he's now over the TIA problems and feeling so much better. His back though he's been going on for years, but he's now got arthritis through his spine as well as stenosis (narrowing of the open spaces of the spine which puts pressure on the spinal chord). Plus he's got a protruding disc but no-one says anything about what to do with that. Coupled with all that, our Dr's which were 5 separate surgeries have amalgamated into 1 (ridiculous) so you never get to see a specific Dr anymore, so in short, it can be anyone from anywhere!! Ludicrous!

Sorry I've not updated in a very long time. It's been a very hectic year, then I kept forgetting, then couldn't log in! 🫣

I've potted bits here and there, never kept a tally as I like the surprise come October! I did however find a pot of coins when clearing out the kitchen before we had the new one installed so I potted that, which was £8 odd in small coins, and a few £2 and 50p added to my other savings challenges.

There are far too many pages to catch up on everyone's posts, but I hope everyone is well and their savings are growing nicely x

Morning all, stressful few weeks here 😫 my son lost his job (his first job) so mad rush to get him another one, not easy without maths and English GCSEs, no driving licence plus autism and ADHD but he secured an apprenticeship as a chef (he wanted to be a plumber)! I'm so, so, so proud of him! He's now spending a couple of weeks with his dad before he starts.

I've not been well for the last couple of weeks, blood tests showed high red blood count, high haemoglobin etc so no idea what will happen about that, if anything. Due to have cubital tunnel surgery in a couple of weeks under local anaesthetic so that will knock me sideways for a while so all go here.

On a plus note, I have found 2 pots at work for next year's SPC! ☺️

Hello again Milki, I've noticed that you haven't been on the thread for a good while. I know at times life gets in the way, but if you're not subscribed to the thread then do so as you find it easier to keep in touch with us. 
Logging in has never been easy since they upgraded to this format. I've found this a real pest. I find if all else fails to allow your browser to save your password, but to play it safe also make a note of it.For the amount of time you've not been on the thread I wouldn't even try to go through all the posts you've missed out on, far too many.

I save the same way as you do, but I mostly say how much I've saved here on the thread, most of us do the same, but it'll still be a surprise as there's no way I'd ever be able to remember each amount.

Oh bless you JuneErso, so very sad to hear your son lost his job, but he's not alone as so many have done recently, not a good time of year for them.  You've every reason to be so very proud of him now he's secured an apprenticeship especially as a chef; congratulations to him! 👏👏 It'll now be good for him to have time with his dad before starting his new job, very best wishes to him, his parents too!! 🤩
