Did you only select stocks in the list it gives you? That looks like it’s for CFDs and I didn’t get that when only selecting stocks.HAPPYHAMMER_2 said:eToro
I am being asked this (which I have no idea about), have I selected something incorrectly when registering?

You are being asked if you understand how CFD (Contract for Difference) works so must have selected this as interests, that would disqualify you from the incentive. Go back if you can and unselect it on the screen with your interest.HAPPYHAMMER_2 said:eToro

Not sure how to read your post. Did you and OH signed up individually and both were able to cash in using the same address but obviously all other details are diffrent or did you really use two different addresses where either of you is living?CRAIGSVILLE1 said:
Yep, OH lives in different house :-)pecunianonolet said:

I knew your claim was ridiculous - it takes 20 minutes and I only made £490! Would have been quicker but it's been a while since I've used a trading app.pecunianonolet said:
I was very hesitant but my motto for 2026 is to take more risk so I went ahead expecting the worst. I still can't believe it myself. I may get blacklisted by eToro but I can very well live with that.flaneurs_lobster said:
Really? That's ridiculous. They're not going to leave this hack open for long are they? They'll lose a fortune. Thanks, Reddit was the trigger, now £495 "richer" as I was 10 minutes ago. Signed up, selected Microsoft, filled out all the data and was instantly verified. Created GBP wallet and deposited 5k by open banking. Shares were allocated within second. Sold the lot and proceeds were back into my GBP wallet straight away. Withdrew my 5k plus ca £495 (some fees to be paid) into my bank account. All funds arrived instantly. Etoro account closed after.
(seriously, this is absolutely nuts...)
I've withdrew mine a few hours ago, but no sign of funds yet.
Hopefully they haven't cottened on to all of us doing this. I still have the OH to do once I get the £5k back 🤪
Received my 5.5k from etoro now, so will give it a go now

Doesn't appear to be a way to go back and change that...it's not part of the profile set up and can't see it anywhere else on the website. I guess too late to delete account and start again.pecunianonolet said:

Yes, judging by here and on Reddit. Not sure what the issue is unless it is the funding method.clairec666 said:
Thanks. So it sounds a bit hit and miss on who gets their shares straight away and who doesn't?Rheumatoid said:
It says only the first deposit counts for the calculation of the bonus. Just follow the link on the etoro home page but make sure you get offered shares early on in the process. See @pecunianonolet post above.clairec666 said:I've been following this thread with interest but haven't taken the plunge with eToro yet. Feels like it's too good to be true! I'm struggling to find £5000 without emptying out a couple of regular savers or withdrawing from an ISA, so I want to make sure it's worth the effort.
Do you have to deposit the £5000 in one go to get the shares? Or can you do it in stages?
And is there a particular promo link you need to use to sign up, or do you just go to their website and create a new account?
Thanks @pecunianonolet for your detailed information a few pages back. Very helpful.

Haha, it'll be like Principality maturities and trying to work out what works! I'll gather a few people's opinions on the best deposit method before I take the plunge myself.Rheumatoid said:
