How long did people wait before being fully verified? Like I said, everything looks open and ready to deposit funds, but on the home screen it's still telling me I need to wait a business day for them to check my details before I can start trading.0

It was a few seconds for me. Just based on electronic checks, no ID docs requested. YMMV. I would wait for "Step 2" to complete before depositing. Once this is checked off you will get a reminder to make a deposit to complete the offer. Also, one of the many emails (3rd of 9) titled "Welcome to the world of online investing with eToro!" will land once you're verified.winkowinko said:How long did people wait before being fully verified? Thought I'd give the Etoro thing a bash, unfortunately no such luck for me. Opened account, verified, deposited funds. A short while later I got an email to say "an error occurred while delivering your stocks"
with the suggested reasons as to why
"The country you registered from doesn't match your country of citizenship"
"The account you registered from doesn't match your country of residency"
"your account has been blocked or closed"
Non of the above are true and I'm still able to use the account as such.0 -
You weren't by any chance running a VPN at any point, were you?Metrocammell said:Thought I'd give the Etoro thing a bash, unfortunately no such luck for me. Opened account, verified, deposited funds. A short while later I got an email to say "an error occurred while delivering your stocks"

Is there anyway of checking which stocks you selected before depositing the £5k? I started the application on my phone, but it struggled a bit, so I went to my laptop and then back to my phone to complete it. I remember selecting the Microsoft stock, but concerned it might not track due to switching devices mid-application.0

Definitely no VPN used as applied on laptop. Annoying, but you win some, you lose some. Would just be nice to understand what went wrong.flaneurs_lobster said:

Trade completed. How do you withdraw back to bank account. I'm on laptop. Do I need to go via the app? Thanks0

If you go into your GBP account you can set up payees and then send payments to them (like a current account, just what I'd want for an investment account - eek!)I did everything except approve the inward Open Banking payment on my desktop.3
