I knew your claim was ridiculous - it takes 20 minutes and I only made £490! Would have been quicker but it's been a while since I've used a trading app.

As soon as I got the Microsoft stock it already showed having a negative P&L of $1.20 or so. I think the real market price and eToro price have a substancial spread but we don't want to complain. At that hourly rate I would like to work for another 3-4 weeks and take some holidays after

It does say investment but it's rather ambiguous if it means having funds added to your investment account or having bought an actual fund. I would argue that because it is not very clear you would have an angle to complain as T&C's must be clear, fair, and transparent, written in plain language and i would argue they are not.

Wallet -> Create Wallet

And there should be an option for opening a GBP account. You might have to change currency first in the top left (can't quite remember)

Drive by complete, £496.13 for 12 minutes work. My don't they like to keep you updated over email!

I've created my Etoro account and a GBP wallet.

I need a step by step guide on what to do / not do next please?

Although it looks like I have the option to transfer £5k, it's also telling me that full verification of my account can take another day to complete.

After you clicked "Start now" on the etoro homepage you get a popup to type in your email address, user name and password. When you click on sign up you should get the below screen to select your share.

I hope you selected that you are only interested in shares during signup and were also able to select between the options what share you'd like, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Tesla, Google, etc. I recall.

Once your account is fully verified (you may be asked to upload documents some people say on Redit) you go to your GBP wallet and click Add Funds.

I downloaded the eToro app on my phone to Add Funds so I could login to my banking app via open banking on my phone. Selected 5000 and verified the transaction and seconds later my eToro account showed a GBP balance of 5000 and I got an email to verify it all. 

Now, if all goes to plan, you should receive your shares of the company you selected at the start of the application. It should tell you that by a notification on the top right of your screen that it was allocated. Click on it and it shows you the share an value. Attention, it shows in USD (at least for me it was like that). On that screen you have a red and green button, click the red button and you can sell the allocated share. 

--> On the popup it will tell you how much you will get after fees and it will also ask you to select the wallet it should go to. Select your GBP wallet and your proceeds should be addedto your wallet. 

Now you can withdraw the entire deposit plus proceeds back into your bank account. Just type in your name, account number and sort code (details are checked by eToro if they match), make sure you type in the full amount and hit send. A verification number text is send to you to authorise the transaction. Your initial deposit and proceeds should be in your account now. 

You can sign out of the app, delete it from your phone and go into settings and delete your account, unless you want to hold on to it.
