Yes we know it works with TSB, I have done this sort of thing with TSB in the past and currently but it does not mean it will work with Santander.HedgehogRulez said:Works for tsb

you think Santander would be different? :Otrickydicky14 said:

Think is not the same as knowing, you could be correct but I'm not going to risk £100 so I have gone the way that is 100% for sure.HedgehogRulez said:

Apparently TCB are sending out emails to people who may have been affected by the button versus link issue outlined above...they have agreed a way forward with the £100 offer promoter to ensure that people who've been caught by the issue will still qualify and receive a claim email in February like everyone else...Jabod said:
From the sounds of it you have not been registered for the £100 voucher. You would know if you had been registered. First of all, you are directed to the VoucherSent site and have to fill in a short form before being redirected to Santander. And not long after you have filled in this form, you would receive an email from VoucherSent confirming that you are registered.Yorkshire_Pud said:I found this thread after I applied for a Santander current account via TCB. Like some others the form for vouchersent £100 Amazon doesn’t send so hit the back button and carried on to Santander which has tracked at £20 on TCB. No idea or way of telling if vouchersent will have received my details so have taken several screengrabs as evidence in case.Does vouchersent send an initial email confirming they received your form for those that did successfully send the form off?
Alternatively I would I have to apply for another current account using vouchersent form but not via TCB.
I think the reason you have not been registered is that you pressed on the big pink button at the top that says "Get £20 Cashback". This is entirely understandable, and as I and others have pointed out it is exasperating that TopCashBack flags this button at the top without linking to the Voucher offer.
In order to qualify for the voucher, you need to ignore that pink button at the top and scroll down the page. You will see a box that describes the £100 voucher offer. You need to click on this box. This will redirect you to the VoucherSent registration form.
The good news (I hope!), is that there should be no problem going through the whole process again and applying for a second account by clicking on the box for the offer. This is what I ended up doing. Santander quickly approved both my applications for Everyday current accounts. The bank allows you to have more than one.
You should also notice that if you do this, both your current account applications will be tracked by TopCashBack as qualifying for TCB's own £20 cashback offer, so your TCB dashboard will show that you are owed £40! I suspect, however, that they will only pay you the £20 for the first application (in TCB's General Terms and Conditions they say "repeat purchases may not qualify"). But who knows? I think that at the very least, those opening two accounts should get both the £100 voucher and the TCB cashback. I hope so!0 -
I’ve received the email. As I opened two current accounts after the first Amazon voucher link ‘failed’ I’ve been spending on the second account where the link did work correctly with acknowledgement email from vouchersafe to get the 30 debit card payments made. The email relates to the first account that TCB say they have a record of me clicking the link that didn’t get recorded but they are making sure the merchant knows I did. Dilemma, the first opened account becomes the default for the voucher and the second no longer counts so now I need to spend 30 times dc on both accounts to be sure or lose out or double bubble?! Looks like I’ll be spending even more time checking out small items at the self service of the local supermarket.harz99 said:

Yorkshire_Pud, I have the same issue as you, and I imagine we are not alone! I have been spending on 'account 2' also, since that's the one I got the VS form for. I have left 'account 1' open, but I won't likely use it (I am not going to put myself through the pain of 60 transactions). If my strategy does not work, then I will make a complaint to TCB. I have acted in good faith and followed all steps. With their email yesterday, TCB have already admitted that it's their error and not ours, so TCB can 'fix' any issues with this in Feb as far as I'm concerned.Yorkshire_Pud said:

I reckon it would be substantially less painful, less time consuming, and faster to do another 30 transactions than taking the complaint route. There's even a small chance that you'd get two lots of vouchers. Your choice though0 -

1) The probability of getting two vouchers is zero
2) It likely does not matter which account you spend on now that TCB emailed us, but I will continue to use only account 2
"Only one Gift Card will be delivered per person. If you take out more than one Santander current account during the duration of this offer (Santander Edge, Edge Up, Edge Explorer and Everyday Current Account), only one account will be deemed eligible to receive a voucher"
