Sainsbury’s credit card transfer to NatWest

My credit card is still not showing up in the NatWest app. I received an email two weeks ago, and was then sent an activation code, but with a different customer number to the one my mobile app and online banking use for my current account with them. Am I meant to download a separate copy of the app? Is that even possible? Are the customer number and code only intended for people new to NatWest banking?

This migration really hasn't been handled well. We've been getting emails for months about the migration so you'd think that on 7th October everything would be good to go. But no. I never got an invitation to register. Sainsbury's sent messages to my old email address, despite my updating months ago. Spent over half an hour on a WhatsApp chat with NatWest and finally got customer number etc. So can now log in and see statemens and balances. No details of who to pay. A friend in the same situation called NatWest and got details. Did they work? Absolutely not. Spoke to a lovely advisor who said in not so many words that NatWest haven't got the heir act together and I need to call my bank to make the payment. One credit card about to be cut up and disposed of.0

Its a huge mess. I have downloaded the Natwest App at least. But they blocked my card. Spent over an hour on the phone sorting it out.0

My DD from today which was showing as a pending credit has now disappeared from my transactions, and my account balance has gone back up. So like you I don't know where the money is, it hasn't gone back into my current account. I did take a screenshot of the pending credit from the DD earlier thoughbarnesy07 said:My credit card is showing up on my NatWest app. However I had my usual direct debit taken on 6th Oct from my bank account, and it isn't showing up as a transaction or on the balance on my credit card in the NatWest app. So I'm a bit concerned about where the money is and whether it will be credited in line with the payment due date on my credit card.
Edit: I made a manual payment for the minimum to be on the safe side, so of course now the DD is showing as credited...0

I'm stuck too, I haven't heard anything from NatWest, I have a business account with them which obviously uses a different email address so I have no idea if they've worked out I'm already a customer. And I already use the app for the business account, I don't really want to link my personal credit card to it but I need to use the app - so how do I do it? Not looking forward to the inevitable long phone call and trying to explain.zedover said:My credit card is still not showing up in the NatWest app. I received an email two weeks ago, and was then sent an activation code, but with a different customer number to the one my mobile app and online banking use for my current account with them. Similar situation here. I am an existing Nat West card holder but my Sainsbury card account is not showing up following apparent transfer. Not showing on either online banking or the app.zedover said:My credit card is still not showing up in the NatWest app. I received an email two weeks ago, and was then sent an activation code, but with a different customer number to the one my mobile app and online banking use for my current account with them. Not going to waste my time. Will give it a week or so and then maybe try to ring. If no progress will cut up the Sainsbury card. Plenty of others to use.

I'm an existing NW customer. My Sainsbury's card had not migrated as planned. I called this morning and it seems that as there was a slight mismatch between my names across the accounts this had led to my records not being matched up. They were able to manually action this on the phone but apparently it might take a few days for the credit card to appear on the NW app. Let's see. I found the person I spoke with very pleasant and helpful but there was a bit of a delay (20 mins or so) for the call to be answered. I hope that helps others.1

Any RBS customers with Sainsbury's credit cards?
I understand you can't have both an RBS and NatWest account, as they are behind the names one and the same.
As I have a RBS credit card, am I going to have a problem now NatWest have automatically added me as a customer?--- Warning: Grumpy Old Man in Training ---0

Hi @Retro_Bunny I now swing both ways. Long term RBS customer (bank accounts, credit cards) and now a NatWest credit card holder. Both apps can coexist just fine.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. I never received an email or activation code from either Sains or Natwest.
Had to go onto the message chat yesterday and ask what I needed to do.
After spending most of the day trying to sort out setting up payments, which they couldnt fix, I was eventually told that at the moment there is an issue with making "fast payments". Not all banks are listed on the Natwest Nectar CC payment app and my bank doesnt offer Natwest Nectar card to transfer money too. So I cant pay off my balance.
Both banks are aware..but not all customer service staff are.
Don't think this has been handled very well from a customer point of view.0
