I don’t have a banking app beanielou, so had to ask them to send a new one out. Thought if I sat and looked at the card reader long enough muscle memory would kick in. Nope.
Edinburgher it’s come as quite a surprise to us how much food we can actually produce and has certainly come in handy with CLC and belt tightening. OH getting the pt post has helped, 🤞he gets the other one he applied for.
Cherryfudge super annoying. Managed to do the weekly budget wrangling via online banking and I’ll get OH to get me some cash out later.
Best get the youngest’s wheelchair in the car soon as we are meeting her bestie and mum to do a treasure trail.Love 🐞

Thanks newgirly.
I did write a post yesterday but lost it and then had a bad migraine so didn’t post in the end. Small food shop yesterday £5.33. Lots of phone calls made, got the youngest to sit down and look at powered chairs, appointment made for assessment, finally. Abdominal scan last night, radiologist said nothing jumping out at them, which was a relief. So today the youngest has finally agreed to go to my mum’s for a sleepover. I really hope they don’t change their minds as I really need a break from caring. They’ve not been for at least 6 months ( could be longer). We are going to meet mum for chips and mushy peas first and then I will come home and relax.
Last bit of sadmin done for dad’s house yesterday. Letter regarding council tax refund came yesterday so applied for that. Will divide that up today.
Today I want to try and list a few things on Vinted. If I can remember my password etc🤣Apparently zzzzzzz are processing my books, so hopefully when that money is paid I can put money in the fun pot. I’d like to get to about £100 in there in time for Christmas. I really should see how much is in there.
Off to count my pennies.

Morning @ladybird1106 I've found and subscribed to your new diary!
Congratulations on paying the mortgage off. The tea garden sounds absolutely up my street and I've got plans to do something similar myself. I started with mint this year...what are you growing in yours?
Commiserations on your OH and redundancy as you know we're in the beginning stages of this possibly happening here ☹️ reading your fears of homelessness and that being a trigger for your stress makes me wonder if this is the same reason I'm so stressed about it when DP is seemingly going with the flow? My father left my mother and refused to pay bills, he also had never allowed my mother to work so when she did return it was to lowly paid jobs that never would have supported three girls and herself as well as the big home we had....we were made homeless and it's a time I try to forget as was pretty scary to us girls being put in such a dodgy area with even more dodgy people surrounding us (not a nice part of Penge if anyone knows the area). So yep, wondering if this is causing my high anxiety and lump in my chest and stomach that I just can't seem to shift since we had the phone call.
Congratulations to your OH for getting a PT job so quickly, well done him for being proactive!
Anyway I've caught up, and will come say hi more regularly now! 😊5 -
Just found your diary 🐞. Sorry to hear about the redundancy, but well done to OH for getting the part time role.
Your allotment sounds excellent - very productive!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hi dfwb321 I always find it fascinating how our past experiences ( both good and bad) shape how we react to what is happening to us in the present. I feel understanding what happened then helped me to see and deal with what is happening now better. I’m growing mint at the moment and hoping to expand the tea garden next year. Our allotment has been a life saver this year themadvix. We’ve really utilised every space up there to grow as much food as we can. I’m looking forward to reading about how you get on with your heat pump. We had an appointment the same company as you to discuss having one fitted but due to what’s happened it’s on the back burner for now.Today I uploaded 7 pieces of clothing on Vinted and discovered I’d got £10 in the kitty so asked for that to be sent to my account. Sold 2 items -£14 . Plus £4.68 from zzzzz books. So the fun pot currently stands at £57.15. I need to check other selling sites I use in case I’ve forgot I’ve had stuff pending.
Tea was delicious tomatoes from the plot roasted with orzo. The youngest is not here whoop whoop😁. Had a very relaxing evening.

Another 2 items sold funpot total is £62.15. Total of 4 items sold. Will get those posted and then I’m going to start gathering items for future car boot sale and put them in the spare room. I’m wondering if I try and sell them online first and if they don’t go car boot them.Love 🐞

Selling first is probably a good idea - otherwise quite a lot may have built up by the time car boots start again.. They will be in your way and may get pushed out of sight.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
