Sounds like just the break you needed and well done for the job applications 👏
If you haven’t already done so, get your CV up on CV L1brary - recruiters use that a lot. Refresh it every week, with one different word in the document or date in the title (save two versions of the file and just switch between them each week) and you will always be at the top of their searches by key word. You’ll get some rubbish coming through but you’ll also get some useful calls too and it’s all good practice for ‘selling yourself’, dealing with those calls 😊

thanks KK I will look into it, later this week.
Not looking forward to today as I’m going to half sibling house to help them declutter the stuff they took from dad’s house🤬. I understand why they took it, but I’m not happy that I’ve allowed my self to be actually roped in to doing it. I need to learn to say no🤬. It’s in a massive shed, that is almost full to the brim with stuff. I’ve told them I will be very ruthless and I am not taking it to the tip. That’s their job to do once I’m finished for the day.
This afternoon I have physio and then it’s a visit to the plot. I wonder what awaits us there. Probably huge courgettes 🤣.

The decluttering went well and had 2/3s done by the time I left. Loads for the tip (which I didn’t do), lots went to the charity shop and I brought a couple of things home with me. Hopefully will finish it tomorrow and that will free up the rest of the week, so I can swot up. I have an interview on Friday. Unfortunately I made the mistake of saying I was free all day Friday instead of choosing a time, I’m the last slot. Always felt this is the worst slot, interview panel has heard all the answers from previous interviewees, they’re tired and just want to go home. Hard to standout when they’ve got interview fatigue. There is the chance they might think I’m over qualified as well. Wonder if there is a site that might give me clues to what sort of questions might be asked.
Went to plot, my word all that rain has worked wonders. Although the heat had already done its damage. Pumpkin plants are dead, so harvested those. They are in the greenhouse to harden off. Climbing beans are leafless and already drying. Courgettes, only 2 biggies, so quite happy. Pears are falling off the trees, masses of tomatoes ( roasted and ready for freezing), picked some of my pasta sauce tomatoes. My neighbour dropped hints about seeds as these toms are huge, so gave them a couple. Will process them tomorrow. Lots of cucumbers ready. Trimmed the peppers, so hopefully they will change colour now. Watered and then left to sort out tea.
Physio went well, except my leg is aching now and stopping me from sleeping 😴. He’s gave me 2 exercises( strengthening) to do and will see me in a month. All linked up to my leg and its impact on the right side of my body.
SM shop was £73ish.
Right going to try to get some sleep.Love 🐞

Great news about the plot coming back to life after some rain 😊
And well done about being focused and having boundaries with the decluttering! 👏
Re the risk of being overqualified, meet it head on in the interview and explain that although that might appear to be the case you are looking for a role of this type because ….. and you want the long term stability of the role because ….
As the last candidate of the day they will probably appreciate some straight talking from you! 😉 And should allay any fears they might have that they would recruit you and you'd run off again almost immediately.
Well done on getting an interview so quickly btw, you are obviously desirable! 😊 Good luck 🤞KK

great interview advice Kk
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3 -
I used AI to help me prepare for my new job, and it was very useful. If you can feed the job description and person spec into a computer and ask 'what questions are likely in an interview for this post?' or, more briefly, 'What sort of questions might I be asked in an interview for X?', then it will give you a very good starting point.

Thank KK, that’s great advice, I will definitely mention what you’ve suggested. Thanks Cherryfudge for the suggestion it was really helpful. I have another interview lined up in 2 weeks and it’s more in keeping with what I want to do, daytime working, not as many hours, in our home town, less stressful, different client group, but not as well paid😫. It does however offer 3 different contract, 18hrs, 24 and 30. With the option to increase. Opting for 18hrs to start as it will ease the youngest into the mindset that I’m not always on tap.
Since applying for the original job I’ve actually been experiencing some awful triggering flashbacks to the point where sleeping is an is an issue, ibs is not happy, and I’ve felt quite tearful. The final nail in the coffin was I drove out there yesterday and it took almost an hour. At night it would probably be quicker but not by much. So effectively a 10 and half hour shift would become 12 plus. I thought the whole experience of that last year (over 20 years ago) of work was done with, but apparently not. So I’ve decided to put my mental health first and cancelled.
Had a good shift at the chazzer yesterday, lots of interesting items sent through. Hopefully will make the charity some descent money.
Still waiting for the physio to send me my exercises😮💨.
Another sm shop at another sm £46ish. I’m always amazed these days how little I get for amount.
Mr 🐞 is handing in his notice today🥳. Hopefully his back and neck issues will improve. Financially we will be bringing in slightly less than we do currently once I’m working, so my frugal pants will need to be reinstalled.
Time to get a wriggle on, it’s the last day of emptying my friends mil house 🥳.

Friend’s mil flat is done it took 5 hours. I just need to collect the things for the chazzer and then I’m done🥳.
Mr 🐞 has handed his notice in for one of his jobs, so we are on count down. Just hope the risk we’ve taken pays off 😱.
Currently at the plot having a minute before I water the greenhouses and harvest tea.

Opened a bottle of Prosecco yesterday to celebrate the start of the countdown. I’ve said to him his reduced hours are effectively him retiring part time🤔.
Been an expensive days as we’ve both had chiropractors today £84 😱for the both of us.
FRUGAL WINS FOR TODAY.
1) Tea was homegrown tomatoes and herbs with shop bought feta cheese, onion and pasta.
2) Watered the future meals in the greenhouses.
3) Snacks were homegrown grapes and pears.
4) Borrowed a book from the library, part of a series I’m reading.
5) Used bath water to flush the loo.
6) Finally remembered to pay in the cheque from when I traded my car in ( car tax ).
I don’t like this new bookmark page mse is doing. I follow a lot of diaries and it’s a faff having to scroll through them all to see if they’ve posted anything 😫.

I hate it too. But I have spotted that just under the "Recent discussions" header you can "Sort by: Recently commented" and then reorders them so ones that have new comments do come top. It won't stay like that though so every time you go back to bookmarks you'll need to sort it again, but at least it exists.
