Thanks watty1.
UC form has gone along with almost 30 pages of evidence to support application. Bloomin envelope wasn’t big enough, so had to get one out the draw and attach their piddley one to it🤬. I bet we still end up with a in person interview 🤬🤬🤬🤬. Anyway that’s a problem for another day.
I’m shattered today. Been very busy since I last posted. Supported the youngest to see their best friend, continue to help my friend sort their MIL flat and took my MIL out for tea and cake. Watered the greenhouses whilst it rained yesterday. Today the youngest old TA is visiting for a catch up and to pick up a load of craft stuff from friends MIL flat for the school they work at.
Right best get off to the plot.

Things in the ladybird household have got complicated. Mr🐞hasn’t gone into work today due to being in pain with his neck and has had a constant headache to boot. After a very long and frank talk, it’s been decided that Mr 🐞 will look to reduce his hours mid October. He’s admitted that he is in constant pain with his neck and shoulders (is only able to take paracetamol due to being asthmatic). He’s already seen a physio and other than the exercises they gave him they can’t do anymore. He’s already sees a chiropractor once a month and has acupuncture the following month. He’s hoping if he reduces his hours a) the pain will lessen and b) give him chance to recuperate on his days off. Which means 🐞 is going back to work. Today I’ve seen several jobs to apply for. So will start those tomorrow. Hopefully we will be able to coordinate the youngest support between us. Mr 🐞is concerned how him and the youngest will get on as we both have very different ways of handling/supporting them. It will also mean some considerable belt tightening along the way. We’ve worked out how much I need to earn to match his drop in wages and the loss of carers allowance. Although wether or not I can earn that amount is another thing. Mr🐞will keep working until I’ve secured a job which is sensible. Thank god we paid the mortgage off.
In other news my mum ended up in A and E. She had been to see the GP as her blood pressure was sky high and kept feeling dizzy. They were very concerned as bp was over 200. They diagnosed vertigo and high blood pressure. She’s already on blood pressure tablets ( not regular tablets but the stubborn bp tablets) and they are being tweaked. She’s had to up the vertigo tablets they prescribed as one isn’t taking the dizziness off fully. My mum has took into all in her stride as usual. Me however I’ve found it very upsetting. It’s made me realise at some point I will lose her. Although I obviously know this, it was a reality check. It also made me realise I am not really looking after my physical and mental health. So the last few days I have said no more (obviously worded it better than a straight no)to a task that has been taking up a lot of my time lately. I’ve got AI to design me a yoga plan that will target specific physical issues I have. Got it also to tell me how it will help. Decided to give up drinking as my system can’t cope ( IBS). New bike seat bought, bike used plus used the rowing machine to help build up my knee and hip muscles in my right leg. Also looked at my diet, which in all fairness is fairly balanced except for the daily intake of sweets, crisps, biscuits, cake , alcohol etc etc🤣. Obviously I don’t eat that long list of extras every day, just various combos 🤣. So I’ve decided I’m not on a diet, this is about a lifestyle change (again) . Anyway I’m pleased to say day 2 went well. Here’s to a positive day 3.

Lots to deal with there, Ladybird. Sending virtual hugs. Try to stay in the moment, which is easier said than done but however big the changes around you, generally the actual moment, if you have enough 'leisure' to be thinking about it, is endurable.
Keep us posted about the job search.

You do have a lot on there. Mr L's plan sounds sensible. Being in pain is just so draining, I know lots of us with empathise with that one and with few chances to recover that is hard. Can he take a few days off to give himself a chance? And your mum, I never thought of my mum as mortal and it was such a shock when she died. I thought she would be here forever. Sending love.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Physio, acupuncture, chiro and painkillers are all great. Id add in a plea for massage too.
A proper sports massage not a tickly fingers spa massage. Try a few till you find one you like. Physio exercises and stretches muscles, chiro deals more with the supporting structure of the body in the skeleton. Massage moves tight, hard, knotted muscles into a softer, more flexible state allowing easier movement. It frees up the 'spaces'in the body, moves lymph and blood around moving waste products into the blood stream and lymph so they can naturally leave the body. It also frees up the fascia which surrounds every structure of the body, when this is tight its like walking in too tight clothing. Getting it released can feel as amazing as straightening out a pair of tights that have twisted down your leg.
Always give yourself plenty hours after a massage before eating otherwise your system has to deal with processing that, drink plenty water to encourage flushing of the system and don't be surprised if it feels worse the day or two after as your muscles can feel the same delayed onset muscle soreness (doms) that you feel after gardening or an activity you haven't done for a while.
Freeing up the muscles to work better, back gliding and sliding instead of stuck, will make the physio exercises easier to do and more likely to help build the muscles being targeted. Without massage starting the process off, he will only be getting a certain amount of benefit from doing his exercises.

virtual hugs gratefully received cherryfudge. The person who I work for at the chazzer is happy to give me a reference. Currently applying for 2 different jobs. One of which would be ideal as it’s 21 hours a week and it’s nights, so can still be around if the youngest needs me. Plus it’s the sort of job I did when I first started working and loved it. Prefer people over endless amounts of paperwork and funding meetings.
love gratefully received watty1, we are due to go away soon, so he would have time to recover from his injury potentially, but he knows what lies in the future work wise and knows that he’s just not a young man anymore. Hence me applying for work. Mum has improved and is convinced it was her blood pressure (meds have been upped by GP)and has stopped taking the vertigo meds and feels ok. All I going to say is she’s an adult and can make her own decisions. So left her with it. The eldest is on standby if need be and will work from our house.
Daisy_1957 I passed your info onto Mr🐞, but he couldn’t get an appointment with a sports massage therapist, so ended up at the chiropractor. Which he says has helped. Hopefully get him booked in with someone soon.
Thanks beanielou, as I keep telling him we are a team and we need to support each other.
Fortune smiles thank you for your kind words. Healthy eating has gone really well. No alcohol for 4 days. Exercise hasn’t happened as much as I would have liked, but ive metaphorically been running around like a blue butt fly.🪰 after various members of the family. Roll on the weekend.

Relaxation mode was switched on Friday morning and was fully engaged by the time we arrived at our destination. Lots of relaxation and walking done in equal measures. My body not quite sure what has happened as I’ve being doing over 10,000 steps a day plus a long yoga session each morning. Raised insole has helped with the pain and is more of a niggle. Although it has gone into spasm several times. 8 days alcohol free and healthy eating is happening Although, I’m just about to have a cooked breakfast 🤤. Plus we’re on the east coast so calling at the chippy is on the cards.
Money wise - £63odd spent at the supermarket, couple of quid on a newspaper and £3.50 on a coffee. So far the majority of the food we have eaten has come from home and more importantly from the allotment.
After breakfast we’re hoping to go and see the local flower festival and this evening a walk up to the local bird reserve to hopefully see barn owls.
Hope you all have a relaxing dayLove 🐞
