They are both ok now KK thank you for asking.
The ongoing battle with the intense heat continues at the plot. It’s taking up to 2 hours to water and that’s not everything. Greenhouses plus a specific area each day of the week. Other than harvesting that all I’m pretty much able to get done. Plus I’ve now done something to my knees which is making walking painful at times. Thankfully I’ve got a podiatrist appointment on Friday. Hoping for some answers for my ongoing foot/ankle/ knee/ hip issues.
FRUGAL WINS FOR YESTERDAY.
• watered and thinned out ingredients for future meals.
• lots of free exercise at the plot.
• used nature’s tumble dryer.
• sm shop was under £100.
• free counselling and me time via the current book I finished yesterday.
• harvested our first tomatoes 🍅, lettuce, grapes, herbs and apples 🍎.
• tea ingredients- French beans, cucumber, herbs and lettuce.

Right need to get a wriggle on busy day ahead.

Podiatrist appointment went ok, so one leg is shorter than the other as said by previous private podiatrist. So I have a slightly raised heel on my insole to see if that helps. Also recommended that I phone the physio department as it’s starting to affect the muscles in my leg.
Other than lots of watering at the allotment, the usual life admin, I’ve been helping a friend to sort out their MIL house. Loads of stuff in bin bags. In fact I back there again today, hopefully this will be the last day.

We didn’t get there Watty1 as there had been a nasty accident opposite the flat. So we went for dry cake(🤢) and tea.
Today we are supposed to be meeting up with the youngest best friend, but the youngest is feeling nauseous. They’ve took some tablets to help, I think to be honest the heat is starting to get to them and they don’t drink enough fluids.
Back from sm after cancelling our plans,bought lots of different juices, smoothies, jellies, plus fruit to putI in water bottles and 3 different types of water bottles to try out. We’ve had a long chat about the health implications of becoming dehydrated. The youngest talked about how they would like to approach this issue (giving them control ). So new 1 litre clear bottle filled with plain water and strawberries and 1 jelly eaten. 🤞. Smoothies are a definite no no.

Today the UC form is taking ages to fill in, I’ve decided to do the rest another day as I can’t focus anymore on it. Lots of lengthy answers and I suspect we will still get called for a in person assessment.

What a pain for you - if only people at least got a financial reward for battling with the forms! Good idea to make a start then take a break, your subconscious will be working on it so the next session will be a bit easier.

Mum was supposed to come today to help me fill out more of the form cherryfudge, but I couldn’t face it. I’ve got a delivery coming tomorrow, so I’ll do it then.
FRUGAL WINS FOR THIS WEEK.
• used nature’s tumble dryer multiple times.
• watered future meal ingredients multiple times.
• because my brassica plants are getting decimated by flea beetles , I’ve ordered some plants, garlic and seeds. Managed to get a discount code which gave me £10 off, but it took me under the amount for free delivery. 🤬54p under. Anyway found their cheapest seeds that I would use. So £10 became about £9 odd. So a win.
• harvested a mountain of French beans , cucumbers and courgettes. Plus beetroot, lettuce, basil, apples,potatoes ,blackberries and tomatoes. I have tiny peppers growing at the moment. Chuffed to bits as not grown them at the allotment before.
• we used to subscribe to a toilet roll company that had the would crap in it. Cancelled as found a considerable cheaper unbleached version and found a 10% off code for that too.
• we’ve decided that we need a freezer in the kitchen. I really liked the Miele but not the price tag, so got a cheaper version. Went through a cash back site. Been delivered tomorrow.
• put to soak last years dried borlotti beans to add to soup today.

Had an easy morning and it’s overcast here, so I’ll pop to the allotment to water.

FRUGAL WINS FOR TODAY.
•googled how to fix my Japanese paper umbrella. It had developed holes and tears in certain areas. PVA glue and strips of tissue paper. The colour match isn’t perfect. Perfect for sunny weather. Although next week it’s supposed to rain🤣, so a paper umbrella might not be the best 🤣.
•Used the free hour of electricity to hoover, use the washing machine and charge the computer.

I’ll try greenbee. New freezer is up and running, I did need to remove a cupboard to get it in. I usually leave that sort of thing to Mr 🐞, but I decided I was more than capable of doing it and he was at work. Felt quite empowering, well after swearing profusely first.
Mum came over to help me finish the UC form🥳. Just need to get the evidence together now. Had a long heart to heart with mum. Exhausted, overwhelmed and annoyed all at the same time. We went through everything and dissected what was causing problems. Some I think is an overreaction on my part because I’m tired, some is because I need to learn to say no to certain people and other bits are the usual difficulties. Felt so much better after off loading.
