So important to invest in oneself 🐞 - you cannot pour from an empty pot. I like to use the Wheel of Life tool when I'm feeling off kilter. Here's a link in case you haven't come across it before. https://scottjeffrey.com/wheel-of-life/

In fact you've prompted me to sit down and have a think myself. Life has been far from normal for me this year so I think a pause for some reflection would be helpful.

Thanks fortune, KK and GP, I will look into those suggestions.
Yesterday I went to the plot and watered the greenhouses and the roots area. Everything going got a good dousing. Apparently we might get rain at the weekend, very excited 😝. Sad I know but I am. Hoed but to be honest not a lot of weeds growing other than bind bloomin weed. Harvested French beans, blackberries (these left the plot in my stomach 🤤), courgette, basil, cucumbers, leeks and spring onions. We’ve calculated that the caterpillar infestations on leeks has cost us about £100 worth of food😱. Managed to salvage what I can. Courgettes seem to be struggling as well, they get to a certain size and then die. Flea beetle has decimated my radish crop as well. I really feel for our farmers and the amount of work they put in and how bad the weather is effecting plants. I suspect the price of food will go up again over the winter, so be prepared everyone.
I took time out several times during the day. I sat and read a couple of times, meditated and did a short yoga session before bed. It did help me sleep better. Mr🐞 and I have decided Friday night’s are not plot days and we should do something together. Unless the weather has been bad during the week. The youngest felt a lot better yesterday, so they are off to respite tonight. We have a universal credit phone call this morning 😮‍💨.

    FRUGAL WINS FOR YESTERDAY.
    • sewed up my allotment trousers (favourite pair).
    • watered and hoed future meals.
    • made pesto ( homegrown basil) froze 6 batches for future use, used 1 for tea last night and one for tea tonight.
    • salvaged what I could from the leeks, sauté them and then froze 3 batches for future use and used 1 last night for tea.
    • made french bean and vegetable soup for tea tonight ( homegrown French beans, celery, potatoes, thyme, courgettes and basil in the pesto).
    • lots of free exercise at the plot and tidying the home.
    • lots of free self care activities.
    • spring onions diced, chopped and frozen.
    • soaked beans that I harvested last year (currently in IP) to go in tonight’s soup.
    • hmmmm I think that’s it.

    A very well-used day. 😊

I'm looking forward to the rain too, and I also have failing courgettes.

Mr🐞 chuffed to bits this morning, we’ve caught a hedgehog on the wildlife camera. We used to get these all the time or see evidence of them but the last couple of years nothing.
New washing machine has arrived and is currently been looked at and will hopefully be installed soon by Mr🐞. My books have arrived and plans are whizzing around my head for next year allotment plans. Friday nights walk was postponed today as the old washing decided to protest about been evicted last night. It was eventually manhandled out the door 🚪 onto the drive. Helped a friend clear some more stuff from her mil house. Managed to sort some stuff to go to another friend’s school and some stuff for the youngest chazzer.

    FRUGAL WINS FOR YESTERDAY.
    • wombled a huge plastic container from my friends skip. Will probably use for carrots.
    • wombled a stone Buddha and Chinese soldier from the same friend’s garden .
    • watered future meals in the greenhouses and salad crops at the plot.
    • tea was the soup I made yesterday from homegrown vegetables.

Right time to go collect the youngest from respite and then visit the plot to 💦.

We're not due to have any rain for at least another week and I'm getting close to threatening deities over it, I just want to see some water fall from the sky 😣
