The plants are inside a greenhouse, so might be warmer in there KK. Miss giddychops is ok, no lasting damage thank goodness.
Had a lovely breakfast at the in laws and managed to catch up of general family news.
Went food shopping (£26.85) and that included a cheapo bottle of wine for OH to celebrate getting a job interview. He’s currently tapping away on the computer applying for a few more.
Tea was mainly provided from the plot.Other than having a nana nap not done a great deal.

Thanks vintage historian.
OH is off work ill again and spent most of the day in bed. He’s had a phone call from an old work colleague who has asked if he would be interested in teaching conservation skills ie hedge laying, if her and a group of like minded individuals can get a new project off the ground. It would only be a couple of weekends a year but it’s something he’s done before and really enjoyed.Today I’ve tided up, roasted tomatoes, made granola and apple turnovers. Did a bit more research around a potential business idea. I did briefly call at the plot and de-caterpillared the cauliflowers again. No money spent

That sounds like an interesting opportunity for your DH. Sorry to hear he's unwell again, I hope he feels better soon.
Roasted tomatoes, granola and apple turnovers: sounds delicious!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

We think his dad gave him food poisoning cherryfudge, as he said he thought one of the sausages on Sunday tasted odd but said it was only the first bite 🤢.
The youngest physio has been today and is really pleased with their progress. No new exercises.Trip to the plot, started weeding the large brassica area, planted the winter onions and fed the brassica in the greenhouses. No caterpillars 🐛 today. Harvested kale, rosemary and leeks to make tea tonight. Very clarty under foot. Contacted several friends to ask them if they would like a cabbage, as I have 10 ready to go.Spent £50 on petrol as OH will be using my car tomorrow as I’m taking his for a service and mot. I’m going to mum’s whilst I wait for car tomorrow be sorted and having a cooked breakfast 😋.Love 🐞

Eek, that's a bit worrying about the potential food poisoning! I hope he's on the mend now?

Just dropped OH car off for a mot and service 🙏 it passes. It cost us a lot of money last year. Just about to have a cooked breakfast with mum.

Meeting was not positive, he had suggestions for ways to save additional money, not interested. Talked about what he does and asked who would do various jobs he does , said this other team would have to take it on ( they are currently snowed under and don’t do weekends). It was a tick box exercise to say he had been consulted. They’ve already made their decision, so was an utter waste of his time. Anyway we know what redundancy pay he will get etc etc. There is one job but he will have to apply along with anybody else been effected by the cuts. So, we’ll wait and see what happens next. He’s applied for a couple more jobs.On a more positive note car passed its MOT🎉 and treated it to a service as well . Just need to wait for the bill.
Had a lovely time with mum, fantastic cooked breakfast, went for a walk, called at a garden centre, resisted the siren call from the plants, but did buy budget sweetcorn seeds -99p. These are the only seeds I need for next year. We then did the heritage travel, was lovely to reminisce about the past and remember people who have passed.Tea was comfort food - beans on toast with 🧀,mmmmmmm
