Sainsbury's to Natwest transfer

Hi @edinburgher
Perseverance with some cheating.I used to keep my large e-bay purchases back for when they used to do the 7x and 9x nectar points promotions. Plus the Sainsburys CC used to have good rates before they were slashed. That plus just not really spending that many really.
Also I was lucky enough to win 1 million Avios (Airmiles) a few years ago, so back in about 2022 when Avios first partnered with Nectar, and the exchange rate was good (250 Avios would get you 400 Nectar points) I exchanged 100,000 Avios for 160,000 Nectar points as a bit of a hedge against the Avios being de-valued, so many of the points are just sitting there in case it is ever preferable to convert them back to Avios again.
• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.1 -
My credit card is showing up on my NatWest app. However I had my usual direct debit taken on 6th Oct from my bank account, and it isn't showing up as a transaction or on the balance on my credit card in the NatWest app. So I'm a bit concerned about where the money is and whether it will be credited in line with the payment due date on my credit card.1

My credit card is still not showing up in the NatWest app. I received an email two weeks ago, and was then sent an activation code, but with a different customer number to the one my mobile app and online banking use for my current account with them. Am I meant to download a separate copy of the app? Is that even possible? Are the customer number and code only intended for people new to NatWest banking?

Its a huge mess. I have downloaded the Natwest App at least. But they blocked my card. Spent over an hour on the phone sorting it out.0

Edit: I made a manual payment for the minimum to be on the safe side, so of course now the DD is showing as credited...0 -

Not going to waste my time. Will give it a week or so and then maybe try to ring. If no progress will cut up the Sainsbury card. Plenty of others to use.

I'm an existing NW customer. My Sainsbury's card had not migrated as planned. I called this morning and it seems that as there was a slight mismatch between my names across the accounts this had led to my records not being matched up. They were able to manually action this on the phone but apparently it might take a few days for the credit card to appear on the NW app. Let's see. I found the person I spoke with very pleasant and helpful but there was a bit of a delay (20 mins or so) for the call to be answered. I hope that helps others.1

Any RBS customers with Sainsbury's credit cards?
I understand you can't have both an RBS and NatWest account, as they are behind the names one and the same.
As I have a RBS credit card, am I going to have a problem now NatWest have automatically added me as a customer?--- Warning: Grumpy Old Man in Training ---0 -
Hi @Retro_Bunny I now swing both ways. Long term RBS customer (bank accounts, credit cards) and now a NatWest credit card holder. Both apps can coexist just fine.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards.
