Being nosey... How many Regular Saver accounts do you have?

Was going to suggest a new specific thread myself for Bobble to start (no offence to the original OP) whereby the list and updates are contained to Post 1 and updated accordingly so it's very easy to find.Bridlington1 said:
A couple of suggestions though. In order to make your list easier to find you could launch a new thread, a How many regular savers do you have thread with your list on the opening post which can be continuously updated. You could also make that thread a no chat thread for updates to your list only, with any regular savers discussion going into the main regular savers discussion thread.Bobblehat said:
Hi luci ... if you mean the "league table of how many RS's do you have" ... as in the title of this thread (started by topyam), then I publish it here within this thread every week or so. If you look back a page or two you should find the latest updated table.luci said:@Bobblehat Can you post a link or tell me where to find the league table of RS's please? I've had a look, but I'm obviously looking in the wrong places. Thanks.

Born2Save_3 has put a link above to Moneyfacts listing of currently available Regular Savers which quite a few of us use as a guide, along with Bridlington1's page 1 of the main Top Regular Saver thread. Link ....

I have a feeling that you were referring to my League table, but you might find the Moneyfacts link and Bridlington1's thread link interesting too.
Alternatively you could also make a post in the main regular savers discussion thread and the main regular savers discussion thread could take on the role of this thread, as I'd consider how many regular savers people have to be within the scope of that thread.
In both cases a link to your list could be included on p1 of the main regular savers discussion thread.
Both might just make it easier for people to find your list without having to scroll through several pages to find the most recent version.
I 100% would not condone adding it to the RS thread. It's already far too cluttered. If only people would read the account summaries and even T&Cs before opening new accounts it would answer many of the questions which are constantly and repeatedly asked.
I think Bobble is doing the work here and should take the credit in that new thread.2 -
In case we are moving elsewhere, my updated figures for November are 21 RS with a total of £21,000 (and 22 building societies.)
My figures will be a bit of a mess through December, as £1,700 will be placed in a holding account for January once maturities have taken place.

I think this thread was set up in good faith and it is fun and has encouraged me to start a spreadsheet... yet to finish it! However I've been obsessed with regular savers for a couple of years now but only discovered the thread 6 weeks or so ago and I'd be surprised if I was unique in this. On a number of occasions I've found that in perfectly good faith, and understandably, issues much more relevant to the main RS thread have broken out on discussions on here (I may have even done it myself!) so I think it's worthwhile to at least consider what Bridlington1 is suggesting. I think probably a no chat thread would be my favoured one but not massively bothered if the other approach were taken .Bridlington1 said:

I currently have 20 RS in my name and 8 for my wife. She's not that keen on having loads of accounts in her name, but I'm working on it. I only do accounts that are 5.5% or higher, and only those that can be opened online. They are all fully funded to the max allowed.1

Update for me. Even though I've opened accounts with 4-5 new providers in the past two months, renewals and older accounts closing has meant I'm still sitting on 16 in total. To add some further detail to the table my current monthly funding is (a rather odd) £3425
EDIT: Figured out I miscounted for my initial submission which should have been 15. My bad

Update, Now 81 live RS, 1 more to be opened next week when paperwork received. Ten maturities to come over the next two months, at least 3 cannot be replaced due account availability and 6 are with PBS so it's an unknown quantity as to whether they can be 'rolled over'. I would expect the overall total to be less come Jan 1st, unless any BS surprise us with new offerings.

Hi Folks .... latest update ....
Following suggestions made earlier, topyam and myself have now arranged for the RS League Table to be added to Post #1 of this thread. Future updates of the table will go to Post #1 instead of being embedded in amongst the thread messages, which should make it easier for people to find.
When there is an update, a message will be posted, with a link to take you to Page 1 and the table will be in Post #1 ... like here ....
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6631929/being-nosey-how-many-regular-saver-accounts-do-you-have/p1
Postings from contributors with updated figures that happen after the table has been updated will appear in the next update. Watch out for a thanks from me on your post and you will know that I have seen it and amended the table as appropriate for the next update.
There have been a lot of messages from contributors who like this thread just as it is, including topyam and myself. We have agreed to take the "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it" approach and kept the change as simple as possible, while hopefully making the table easier to find. No need to complicate things with a 3rd thread or merging with other thread(s). This is still the place for general stories about your RS acquisitions, anecdotes about RS's ... anything fun or a bit "leftfield" about RS's. Bridlington1's thread is still the best place to reach a maximum audience for specific aspects of individual RS's or specific operational issues of RS's in general.
Cheers, Bob.Compiler of the RS League Table.

May I suggest one or both of you put the link to P1 in your signatures to make it even easier.
