Hi again
just popped back for an update.
Mission accomplished and all rellies gift vouchers are now spent!:j
We spent a bit longer in M&S than we planned to though as one pair of trousers that were marked as half price in the sale went through the till at full price
When we queried it the SA discovered that they were not in the sale at all and that they had all been marked down by mistake so we had to get a refund.
My only spend was in the poundshop and this will take me over budget but as i rarely get there it`s cash well spent and will save me money later in the month.:D
My tummys rumbling now so i`d better go and put something inside it.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Evening all!
I've been busy doing nothing today, had a rotten day yesterday so I truly exhausted myself with worry and all of that jazz. I've written a long list of things to do tomorrow though and am determined to get them all done.
Due to my being upset yesterday OH decided to treat us to a Chinese take-away. I was upset because of the grocery budget but he said that it was something that was needed and that it was coming out of his own personal spending, which I hope is ok.
I'm going to have a bath soon and then start on our dinner-we are having Thai Green chicken curry with rice and veggies and following it with fruit salad.
Yesterday I got some fabulous books from Amazon, including 'The Magnolia Bakery Cookbook', it has some amazing recipes which are making me drool just thinking of them
Am sending hugs to those who need/want.
Have a good evening.

Well after 6 hours the kitchen is reclaimed (bar washing the floor) and as gleaming as it's ever going to get. Feel very proud of myself, but no-one's allowed to cook in there ever again!0

For strictly medicinal purposes (;)) I am currently indulging in a glass of M&S White Chocolate Liqueur. Yum. It's like the white bit of Sheridan's (if you know what that's like - LOL!) and is cheering me up and making my throat feel better

MMmmmmmmmmm I love Sheridans, wish I had some here to soothe my throat!
I feel a total washout today and have spent most of it in bed on and off and achieved absolutely nothing in between. This aint like me and I can usually shake off colds and carry on as normal
Big hugs to anyone else feeling so carp atm too :grouphug:“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Hello all, just a quick one from me today as am shattered. Worked all week, had to rush OH to hospital last night as his throat was closing over and he couldn't breathe . Fortunately he is alright. I think he swallowed a bee or something

I am working a 12 hour shift tomorrow.
My lakeland order came - I LOVE my new dish drainer, but there are a couple of damaged items I will be sending back.
Oh - popped into Mr T on the way back from the hospital - just caught the RTC lady. Got about £50 worth of stuff for....£3.10!!!! (Check out my post on the grocery challenge for more info).
Anyway, hope you all had a good day, will catch up with the thread then go to bed!We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

Hi Everyone
Sorry not read or posted for several days. See we have some new folk so would just like to welcome.
Well we have had a bit of lurgy around here. I was worried when I had to get up with the runs this morning. Nothing so far developed but did cancel day out with DD and boys just in case. DH I think developing man flu!
Decorations down except wreath at door for DS's partner for little Christmas in Ireland! Had nurse yesterday and BP still too high (maybe because I kept forgetting to take tabs in holidays!!!!!!).
Had quite a bit of snow over last couple of days but more or less gone now. Hope Twink, Kyle and Mean M OK - I think worse for you all.
We have DH's aunt's funeral tomorrow and he has to do a cord!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love and hugs.

Hope you all feel better grannybroon and hope tomorrow goes as well as it can be.
I sympathise with your DH's man-flu - I think I've got it and I'm a woman!! Have just ventured on here before heading back to bed with tissues and paracetamol.0 -
Hi everyone. I've had the day from hell today...it has improved this evening. First I had loads of work to do today and both OH and myself got out of the wrong side of bed!!! so tired (both of us) from working excessively over christmas and not getting to bed til very late then getting up early most days!!! anyway, we both got on each others nerves today , I did get some of my work done, and OH got alot of his done too. Received application for passport back today for DD. Apparently I should have sent the full version of her birth certificate. Great!!! we haven't even got one. SO I have to trek 250 mile round trip on monday to get the full version before I can re-send application. (reason for long trip is because I have to get the full version from the area she was born and we have moved since then!!!) The person who countersigned got the wording 3 words wrong for her photo, so I have had to get hold of him to sort it out. I'm tired, irritable and OH is fast asleep on settee!!!!! Had to go to supermarket tonight coz OH didn't want pasta with cheese sauce and tuna. He wanted spag bol. So he insisted we went to buy ingredients-even though we had everything in already apart from mushrooms and onions. I couldn't even have the cheap pasta sauce, He wanted one at double the price!!!!!So as I originally posted, I have had a bad day today. ON a positive note I did manage to purchase a £30.00 chess set for 98p. So I shall either think of someone who would like it as a christmas present or I shall sell it on and make some money-last one sounds more promising!!!
Sorry for long post. Hope everyone is ok. ((hugs)) to those who need/want one. Hope all who are ill get well soon and all who are well stay well.
Rant over. Feel much better now I've got that off my chest!!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043
