  • Gooood morning everyone! Had a good day yesterday - lunch with my cousin and her 2 littlies, then shopping in town. Got nearly all that we needed, but it included a lot of choosing time for DD  , so DS and I had to be patient -thank heavens for Radio 4 Podcasts  ;):p Went to Sainsburys late on, to find lots of reduced price meat and baked goods. Have a stuffed freezer now and lots of plans for pasta sauces to eat on my w***ing days :T Also bought a lot of brocolli, so will be making stilton and brocolli soup with frozen turkey stock.

Had friends for supper (pre-prepared lasagne, garlic bread and salad) which was lovely. Sadly that was our last *entertaining* of the Festive Season, so today I'll be clearing the dining room - washing the table mats and table cloth, cleaning the fireplace, dusting, sweeping and mopping the floor.

Need to get back into menu planning, so we've made a list where we've all added meals that we'd like to have. Need to put that into some kind of order, and make sure I have all the ingredients, so will have a trip to the veg shop.

Hugs to the poorlies, and have a great day.

    Morning all............(((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))if you need one.

Just a quickie, got a busy day.........Kippers we have an allotment, we do not dig the manure in, spread it on the top and let the worms take it down into the soil............do it always............we spread manure and home made compost onto several of the beds before the winter set in and most of it has gone now, when you put the spade in you can see it has been carried below the surface. We dig as little as possible, have beds 2 foot wide by 20 feet long, you can reach in from either side without treading on the soil and compacting it.

Off to Dunelm this morning to see if they have the duvet sets in that my friend is looking for, then going over to see her after lunch............

    Have a good day...................

No idea what to cook for tea.

Have home made soup from yesterday in fridge and three home made pork burgers (now one!) Someone obviously fancied the burger late last night!!!!

Might make a spanish omelette unless inspiration strikes.

Need to go and buy a suitcase or two so DD can pack tomorrow ready for her new job. Offered to buy her a posh rigid suitcase but she wants a soft expandable one.

Weekend will be hectic and want to make the most of having DDs while I can.

Will seem strange to go from having four daughters at home to two!!!

Going to get dressed as DD(13) isdue home soon from a sleepover.

    Scuzz

You have got to get out of there. Bet you wil only be appreciated once you have gone. Would have suggested some sick leave but if I remember rightly they pester you even then!

Hugs to everyone while I get my lazy butt dressed!

Morning all - today we're going to do something really scary. We want to move the fridgefreezer from one end of the kitchen to the other, and move down the tumble-drier and all the stuff above, so swop their positions either side of the oven/cupboard units. I dread to think what we'll find behind them both but dessicated mice may well feature!

I'll head off to the gym this afternoon. I was proud of myself last night; we went to the cinema and usually spend a small fortune on rubbish food, but instead I had a bottle of sparkling water and some fruit from home. I also want to plan our meals for next week after coordinating diaries and using stuff in the cupboard and freezers; we're both back to work on Monday and time will be short so we need to be organized.

Skipboy - I do corned beef hash the way I do shepherds pie. Mash and fry the meat, add onions/mushrooms, a tin of tomatoes, some frozen peas, and serve with mashed potato.

    Good Morning All

(((hugs))) to those under the weather

    Hello to all newbies :hello:

Did try and post earlier but had problem with internet - seems to have fixed itself now.

Nothing exciting happening today although one of my Xmas pressies to mysef was a proffessional oven clean. The man is here now as I type - I do clean my oven regularly but it still gets a build up which is tough to shift - if it goes well think I will put it on my Xmas next year also.

Other than that its housework, paperwork and ironing today. Ironing isnt so much of a chore with my new iron.

Wont do any washing till tomorrow when can bung in the kids uniforms as well. Lovely having a peaceful house and being able think.

Left over turkey from the freezer made into curry tonight.

    Have a great day.

Mash potato would go lovely I reckon skipboy. Oh, sola has beaten me to it.

Morning everyone, I'm scared to go out today in case I catch the dreaded lurgies, especially the vomiting bug. Have to go into town to take a dvd back but really want to go the other direction to nature reserve and have a nice long walk. Hopefully I will have the energy to do both, but can imagine after walking in the freezing cold around town for an hour and getting back home to a nice warm living room I won't want to go out again!

Will at least try not to spend too much.
