    Morning all!

J feel slightly better today, think i slept a bit better too (partly due to the alcohol last night me thinks!) wishing everyone speedy recoveries.

Off work today so will try and do freezer inventory, catch up with washing (again) and start packing up the Christmas bits and bobs (lots of it!)
Must also try an do a menu plan once I've checked all my food out!

Off to look at the Debenhams 70% off sale online (this is why I get nothing done!)

    Have gooddays everyone xxx

I'm sorry some of you are poorly and Vicky could you be teaching the wrong year in primary (such a difference between foundation and year 6..not sure though if you are teaching secondary or primary).

Anyway i'm trying to decide if it's too wet to go down to my allotment this am, its too dark to see out the window, i'll wait to see what the weather on the tv says. I really need to go down to it as i haven't been down for two months and it needs the manure spreading & digging over (hope i don't put any of you off your breakfast).

I need to make pumpkin soup today to freeze in portions ready to take to work and squeeze the oranges and put in small bottles ready to also take to work (should have done this yesterday).

Well, i better go and wake my girls up.

    Have a good day all!

Hugs to all who are poorly or just downright fed up.

VICKY every so often I think about leaving nursing, but haven't gone yet, doesn't help if your head is a pratt. Interestingly, my matron used to be a teacher.

AUSSIE must look up on a map where you live, it sounds fascinating.

Well it snowed here yesterday for about an hour and that was it. After that it was just damp, grey and freezing. on the plus side I looked at the BBC weather site and by Tuesday we will be having an extra 6 minutes of light a day. Thats what I love about this time of year, by the end of January it's really quite light.

Have just taken bread out of BM and WM is on, hope to hang it out today. Off to work at 1pm. Have decided to tackle my disgusting bathroom and DS beroom:eek:    .

    Have a good day all

    Morning everyone
i`ve just had a quick peep outside and there isn`t any more snow just a really thick fog so hopefully it`ll clear by the time we have to go out.
i`ve just taken the bread out of the breadmaker to cool and as soon as the soup in the slow cooker is cool enough i`ll give that a whizz in the blender to make it nice and smooth.
The washer and dishwasher are waiting to be emptied so i`d best get cracking soon.
Were taking relatives to the big shopping centre on the outskirts later so that they can spend the gift vouchers that they got at Christmas.

I took the new vacuum cleaner back to the shop yesterday because the on/off switch was a bit strange and it wouldn`t always catch, the new one`s still in the box so i need to get that one out later and check that it`s ok so i`ll have a good clean with that once it`s been checked.
All the christmas cards are coming down later too and once i`ve cut some gift tags from them for next year they can all go in the recycling.
Good luck to Scuzz, it`s not a nice situation to be in at all, i hope things turn out well for you whatever happens.
    Hugs to everyone else!
    Catch up later.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Morning all,

Not a drop of snow here and I was looking forward to it. Off to work today finish at two, and then have to take my DD to a party in Bognor, I pick her up at 9, so my friday night glass of vino will be late tonight :o .

OH is making chilli for tea, I put 6 chillis with seeds in last time, and it was not hot enough for us, might go for eight tonight  .

Came home from work yesterday to find that OH and DD had had a really good clean through, of course I heaped praise on them ( not that I normally get any ) in the hope that they might do it again. I have been leaving them a list of about six jobs each to do, will leave them to it today and see what happens  . DD will take at least an hour to get ready for her party:rolleyes:

Tru hope you feel better soon, take it easy xx

Vicky you should not be getting stressed over a job, life is too short time for a rethink methinks xx

Scuzz hugs to you, what a horrible situation to be in, hope you find something better soon xx

Hugs to anyone else feeling ill xx

Hope you all have good days xxx

Good luck to odds for the op today xx

Morning guys, another miserable soul here who's full of cold too :(

Twink - do you reckon would ginger wine work as well as whisky? It's about the only alcohol in the house I think, must go make myself a hot toddy, and yes, this early in the morning Aussie :p

My to do list got up and went awol days ago and I'm so far behind now it's unbelievable. Meant to be having kitchen replaced next week and I haven't so much as cleared out one cupboard yet  Just praying it's only the cold making me feel so carp and useless not the big D paying another visit :o

Hope you all have a much more productive day ahead of you and are feeling better than of late :grouphug:

    Good morning everyone,

I hope you feel better soon tru.

I was up early with the little person. He was awake a lot in the night, I think he had a nightmare. Strangely, his father, who didn't get up to him at all is still in bed! Hmph!

Scuzz, try some Kalms, they won't fix your horrible job, but they may relax you enough to help you cope with it and to get some sleep.

I need to do some ironing today, and a lot of housework. DH thinks that looking after ds is all he has to do when I'm at work, he forgets that there is cleaning and tidying to be done too.

    Take care all of you.
