I need to put my proper oats here, or my planned oats so I can keep my Advent positive.
Odd job man came to put up coving. I used to have a 90s fake stone chimney but I knocked it down and had the wall reboarded and plastered in..... 2019 so haven't had coving since. Unfortunately he's not from this area so bought 'standard' sized coving. He'll try again mid week with the correct size coving.
Last night I did more sorting of stuff for the relative but ran out of patience somewhere around midnight due to the lack of straight answers. I'll try again this evening.
I've got tomorrow off to do a tip run but I haven't sorted much stuff to go. I've still got all afternoon and evening but we've got horrendous wind and rain so I don't want to be outside.
If I don't get enough of my own stuff sorted for the tip I might go empty the last bits of the storage unit because most of that needs to go to the tip. I'll be annoyed at having more crap in my house but at least it'll be one major oat totally completed.

@Rhyddid2026 - I recommend getting as much as you can in the car to go to the tip. And tell your relative you're having work done on the house, so need decisions now - either it gets shipped next week or goes to the tip. You don't need all this stuff dragging you down.

I've refilled the hand wash and handcream dispensers that have been annoying me by being empty.

And fingers crossed, I think I might have fixed the DW as I poked around and removed the cover for the impeller, and fished a bit of chicken bone out of it. Which reminds me, the last of the chicken wings need cooking - I'll check the date, and if there isn't much left and they're OK then I'll feed them to the two raw-fed animals. Otherwise I'll cook them and feed them to the other cat.

Trying to get laundry done so I can pack for hospital. I need to confirm timings for Thursday with my friend and talk her through what will happen on Friday. Hospital have been warned that she'll be about 3 hours away. But the day unit doesn't close until 10pm, and if necessary they'll have to find me a bed (we've already discussed this). I need to pack for the dog to stay with my mum (hopefully he won't need dressings and wellies, but will probably need to be kept on lead/in the garden) as well as myself for staying with friends and then the hotel/hospital.

New robot was definitely a worthwhile investment. It's making me keep things tidy for a start! I've got one more bedroom to clear and then I can focus on making more of downstairs accessible to the old robot.

As often happens, I had my little moan on here then pulled myself together and got stuff done.
I cleared out the space between the dog crate and the wall where I've been storing paper and cardboard to get the log burner started. Except I don't, I use firelighters and kindling. Two large bag fulls are now burnt. Some if it smelled rather damp.
I've also made a stew and used up some of the tiny home grown potatoes that were a faff to clean. Those that were not used today (because they were too old, too small, too holey) will go in the compost bin. So that's another oat done too.

We've got a big basket for paper and we are moderately good at actually using it in combination with kindling, BUT MrEH is a shocker for trying to save ALL paper for burning, so it invariably ends up overflowing and with assorted satellite boxes alongside too. I'm on a mission currently to evaluation what we will actually burn/use for firestarting and getting rid of anything we won't. All things shiny colourful cardboard can head STRAIGHT to the recycling bin!

Progress with the giant OAT that involves pictures and similar as the large, heavy (but gorgeous) mirror finally made it to the dressing room wall at the weekend - well done MrEH!
The picture that needs eyes and hanging wire has made it downstairs - now I need to find the eyes.
The nautical chart of MrEH's hometown river plus two small B&W photographs of London which were a present literally years ago from my parents have been hung in the front room (on the wall that was painted a couple of weeks back) and look wonderful.
Lots of assorted Black & White photos ordered for framing for the front room as the wall they are going on is now painted - annoyingly I think I will need to change one of the frames for a different size.
Black & white photos ordered to go into a yet-to-be-bought composite frame elsewhere in the house.
A large canvas of one of our favourite Hebrides views has also been ordered and will go on the cream wall in the front room, replacing what our predecessors left there which is "OK" - but not really our taste.

I'm really loving the thought of FINALLY getting more of my photography on the walls!

    Well done EH.  Sounds fabulous.

Exciting OAT - today the two ovens are being cleaned.   The man is here doing them now.  I've wanted this job done since I started making the house mine!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Watty - that's another job on my list, too!
