Ordered a new screen protector. This is one of those annoying tasks that I never did on my old phones and just left cracks. So quite proud of myself4

We're due bad weather tomorrow, so need to make a list of indoor jobs for the gardener to do. I don't think it's fair to tell him not to come because it's raining/the grass isn't growing. And he's perfectly capable of doing odd jobs. So far I have:
- Check/renew all the shower/bath/basin sealant
- Install curtain tie-back hooks (I'll need to mark them all up, and probably hold the hoover underneath while he drills if I don't want to have to clear up the mess afterwards
Which then made me think... get hooks up on the workshop wall so the ladders can come off the floor, which is very cluttered.
I should probably find a piece of paper and start writing things down.6 -
I love the sound of Fabulous Friday Pip!
I've done an extra hour of work this evening so that I can put my OoO on without guilt.
I have finally gotten around to sending my letter/meds update from the private clinic to my GP. It was written in April. Hopefully they will be able to provide those new meds for me and I can save a bit of money. Fingers crossed for me!
I have written a list of jobs, in rough order, for the morning. I will be using my first day off to do some sorting at the storage unit. I need to take everything for the auction that is in my house down to the unit and bring back everything my dad wants to keep.
I'm also going to call in to the cemetery while I'm nearby as it was my grandfather's birthday today. I'll take him some flowers.
I'm pretty exhausted from another busy week at work, but I am hoping I'll have enough energy to really make a difference in this house over the next four days, and do something a little bit nice too.

Sorry you have so many build worries PIP.Apart from gardening and filing, another one of my least favourite tasks is finishing off my knitting projects. My mum used to do it for me so I never really bothered learning how to do it but now I need to be a big, grown up girl and tackle it myself. After much procrastinating I have now joined the seams as instructed and have the right number of stitches ready to knit the neck of my jumper. I'm aiming to wear the finished garment as part of our MSE sparkly, happy Advent so I'd best get knitting!9

All sounding very productive round here although I’m sorry you had a troublesome night PiP.We’ve made a decision about pictures and I have hung two of them already. Another is going into the office, and one needs MrEH to put it up (tall person requirement!)
Two paint samples have been acquired and both are now on the wall - shame they both look terrible but there you go! We do at least have to move forwards with it now as we have a panel of ripped off wallpaper! (My usual method for driving a decorating project forwards!)
Freezer audit has been done and notes made of how I plan to use various bits. This includes a chicken “stew-p” on Sunday using some turkey stock (yes, from last Christmas - don’t judge me) and a tub of mixed roast veg of indeterminate age.
In OATs that I hadn’t remembered to note, I have had a clear out of some photos from my iCloud so it will now fit within thr 50gb plan I have for backups again. This is very MSE indeed as the next plan up is an additional £2 a month!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I went to get a mole checked at my surgery today. He said it shouldn’t be anything to worry about. I deep cleaned the shower, but it still didn’t feel clean so I just took off the shower hose to put it in water and bleach for half an hour. It gets mouldy quickly and I think it is from being in a hard water area.
I did change my Autumn wreath and candles to more Christmassy ones, although the wreath I bought at a chazzer looks too small for above the fireplace so I might buy a different one.5 -
I took stuff from my house to the storage unit. I took a new strong box to swap for a broken one. I pulled out stuff that my dad definitely wants to keep and brought that back to the house. Well, kind of. It hasn't made it into the house it's still in the car.
I picked up a prescription on the way home.
And then I stopped, napped, wasted a few hours and ate my tea. I'm hoping I'll start up again in a bit and do something productive.
I managed a biggy today though so anything else is a bonus.

Tie back hooks done (except the window where the curtains are down ready for the decorator and I think I need to order another pair in the right size).
Bath, shower, and basin sealant done. Need to let it cure. Handyman says he has some spare grout which we can dye with paint to match the missing bit on the bath, and will get some dark sealant where we need sealant over the ground round the bath (although I now wonder whether clear might not be the best option).
Mirror is up in the back bedroom, and a heavy picture.
Paint samples painted on bits of paper and I think I've got a decision made.
Electricians have been and tried to fix the problems with the switching on the hall lights but failed. They really need to find a solution on Monday as the decorator needs to fill the holes and I want to get the floor back down!
So lots achieved, not by me, but at least I organised it. Hopefully the plumber will come back tomorrow and finish the heating so a. I can turn the boiler back on and b. it's ready for the decorator on Monday!5 -
Very proud of everyone 👏
Glad the mole isn't a problem @Wednesday2000
What a breakthrough @Rhyddid2026
Keep us updated on the paint colours @greenbee
I didn't do as brilliantly as I'd hoped but I think that's fair enough when working within the parameters of only a few hours sleep. I caught up with quite a lot of steps, and did some outliers on the to-do list- feeling relieved to have made a start on Christmas shopping especially.
Some of the things I wanted to do but didn't, I did ask myself honestly if I was making excuses but it would actually be less time-consuming and troublesome to wait and ask for assistance with. And some things were sacked off but there are limits to how much a tired someone can go traipsing around in the pouring rain when those tasks can be done on Monday!7
