I think you 100% made the right decision on delaying non-critical tasks @PennysIntoPounds! I abandoned doing a couple of things yesterday when the wind blew my brolly inside out and the rain soaked me all the way up my back and legs just trying to walk 20 yards from office door to car after work - ugh ….Btw, rain, minor detail, but you are SUPPOSED to FALL, not fly sideways! 😉😂
(You can tell I’m absolutely scarred by this experience!! 😂😂😂)

@Rhyddid2026 I am very excited to hear about your progress on the storeage unit - great news!
I tried some stuff on from my wardrobe which no longer fits me ( in some cases for twenty years!) so I was very miserable. Then I got on with thanking them for their service and listed on Vinted. Took under an hour instead of several years of them cluttering up my wardrobe. They need to go to someone who can wear them.6 -
I really need to tackle that shower hose and head more often as it was gross and took two soaking to get clean. That will probably be a weekly job from now on to deep clean it properly.
I have some workmen round as I want to make my kitchen look a bit refreshed without spending a lot of money, hopefully! I definitely want new tiles.
I was going to go out to a charity shop to look for a few more Xmas bits for the house and maybe stop in at a local fayre. It isn't raining at the moment, but I am going to check the weather.
I was going to vacuum and deep clean the bathroom floor but I will do that tomorrow.4 -
I’m feeling virtuous! I have drafted and circulated a risk register for the PC. A verrrry ‘dry’ job … 🙄

So you should @KajiKita!
I have continued the autumn mission of eating down the cupboards by making a lasagne for dinner. Not sure how we came to acquire several different packets of both lentils and lasagne sheets!2 -
I've gone through a box and two bags, unwrapped, and sent photos to be sure he wants to keep them and have them shipped. There are another couple of boxes upstairs to do but space is limited. I need to get another strong box.
Progress has slowed on house stuff, I'm getting frustrated that I can't do everything I wanted to, but trying to stay motivated to do much as I can. I walked the dogs somewhere different and some stupid woman wound down her window to let her dogs bark at mine as we were waiting calmly to cross the road. So now I have a sore back from my reactive rescue dog pulling and darting all the way back to the car.
I've potted up some plants for the downstairs bathroom, and given one side of the bathroom a good scrub. I can't get the old blind down but don't want to stretch too much til my back is better. I'm going to have prosecco in the bath to celebrate the bits I've achieved so far.

Prosecco in the bath sounds like a fabulous idea, and very well deserved.
I'm sitting in front of the fire under a fleece blanket waiting for the plumber to finish the job he was due to get done Weds/Thurs. I think he's repressurizing the system, so fingers crossed we're nearly there.
I haven't done much today other than a bit of shopping and minimal tidying. And taking the dog for a run on the marshes.3 -
No-one can do everything all at once @Rhyddid2026, once this storage stuff is sorted it'll free up so much space, physically and mentally.
You are smashing it, and prosecco in the bath is absolutely an apt celebration 🥂
Hope the back feels eased very soon, take things easy and don't make it worse by being determined to get things done2 -
@Rhyddid2026, I had something very similar happen to my friend and I when we were walking her dog. A random car stopped, dropped her window and allowed her weird little lapdog to bark at my friend’s dog. Really aggressive little thing and my friend’s dog was about 10x the size of the strange woman’s dog …. Super, super weird … 🤷♀️ She got no reaction though as my friend’s dog is deaf so didn’t react at all … 😉😂Is this some kind of social media trend or some such? 🤔

Wow @KajiKita !! That is so strange!! I started doubting myself thinking she must have done it accidentally but she was looking at me throughout it and it went on far too long to be an accident. And she was blocking the crossing in front of us so we had nowhere to go. She had two small dogs that wouldn't look out of place on Elton John's head and they were both barking furiously. I have a Greyhound and a German Shepherd 🫣
People are very strange.
I'll ask about and see if it's happened to anyone else I know.Debts 04/01/25 01/11/25
