I've just ordered strong boxes and bubble wrap for shipping... and... rainbow coloured packaging peanuts for celebratory reasons!  They were only 50p more than the usual white ones but will give me joyful feelings on a daunting task 😄

I've bleached and scrubbed the downstairs bathroom from ceiling to skirting boards, just the floor left to do (after a little rest). I've booked the local cheap handyman to put my blind up tomorrow because I've been looking at it for weeks. I've managed to get the old one down.
Unfortunately, as always in this house, paying attention to things means you find more jobs to do. The seals around the bathroom window and the sealant around the bath needs replacing. Anyway, moving on...
I am also one small load away from completely emptying my washing basket!

Sounds like you're making lots of progress @Rhyddid2026

I washed dog towels overnight and put them on the line this morning. Then washed people-towels and put them in the TD. Dog bag and a couple of his blankets are currently in the WM on a 30C hygiene wash (so a long warm wash). People towels are out of the WM and put away, dog towels are in the TD to finish off and remove the last of the dog hair.

I'm currently moving stuff back into my bedroom. Not really sorting it - I know I should be, but I just want to get the other rooms clearer so I can do the stuff that needs doing in there. I potentially have a houseful in early January and want the bedrooms finished by then. Plus I have no clue where all my winter outdoor clothes etc are.

Shopping delivered but not put away yet.
Maybe I should put some of it away now.

Cut back, lifted, washed off and taken to the potting shed all my dahlias.
Emptied my summer pots. Two of my begonias were mush thanks to vine weevil 😢 the other two are huge now and have also been removed to the potting shed.
Washed off the summer pios and them in the potting shed ready for tulips 😊

Have moved lots of stuff back into my bedroom. Admittedly most of it is on the bed, but it's progress!

But at least if it's on your bed you'll need to move it tonight to actually go to bed!
  • Been to flat two days in a row. Rubbish removed from hallway and taken to tip (not just relocated 🤣). Front door washed (needs to be repainted).
Mattress collected from back garden and opened to inflate. I would say that I had washed the walls and floor but I had a 4 year old helper so let's just say that might need another go

Paid dad's paper bill.  I set it up as an online payment as the newsagent seems to work on a different time zone to me.
Emptied some pots now the summer bedding has died .  Swept the patio.  Remembered that I really don't like gardening but that my garden can only look beautiful and zen if I do some gardening every now and then.
slightly untangled some tangled info from the dreaded overseas in-laws.  I'm not being bamboozled by them so I need to get on the front foot.

This evening I'm doing some more knitting on my jumper that will be finished by advent!

wrote a comprehensive things to do list for next week.
