Saturday was a trip to the tip to offload some rubbish, went to an appointment, did some shopping (week 1 of Morrisons challenge completed) and collected my prescription. I sorted through the ever the growing piles of used parcel bags - they are in one organised pile now and will come in handy for the vinted sales if I ever get around to listing them. Starting to feel the benefit of a less cluttered home and had a relaxing/recharging day today, although I did swing the hoover around the hall/kitchen. Then took advantage of the dry/warm weather and walked into town for a mooch, so got my steps in. Feeling ready for the week ahead."Think of many things, do one"

Excellent OATing @SandyShores, get those vinteds listed! Where do you live that it's warm?! It is freezing in London and looking even more freezing for the week ahead. We're all coming round yours if that's okay 😁3

Phone screen replaced and case actually cleaned. Ashamed to say I think that is the first time I have ever cleaned a phone case.4

I chuckled when I read it @greenbee because I've lost count of the times I've pushed stuff to one side of the bed and slept on the other tiny side.
I've done a bit of hoovering and a bit of mopping so I reckon my house is now back to how clean and tidy it was before I got sick in September.
I'm only doing a tiny bit tomorrow, I'm spending my last day off visiting a friend's new house and taking all the posh snacky food for lunch. I think I deserve it.Debts 04/01/25 01/11/25

Sometimes the only flat space is the bed. Very logical to use it. Just run out of steam before I get it cleaned off again. Fortunately, I don't need much room to sleep in. Isn't that the way it is supposed to be?3

If only half the bed were available the cats would claim it and I’d be on the floor.4

Results of what feels like a fairly prioductive weekend...
- Add another week at least to the extended meal plan Maybe not quite a week, but added at least a few days
- Get more of the panels sanded and painted on the office wall if the weather is dry enough! It wasn't dry enough!
- See what we can do about re-fixing the bottom panel of the office all which appears to not be fixed currently
- Empty tomato plant pots and retrieve crocks from the bottoms Done - and pots/crocks left out to either dry or get rinsed clean
- Compost pepper plants done
- Walk or drive to the community farm to see if they still have their seed swap in place (Must also check with about-to-move-to-a-house friend whether she plans any veg growing and if so, does she want seeds?)
- Brainstorm about house jobs to be done - remember to list electrical stuff ready to get electrician details from Mum.
- Start looking for tester pots of suitable paint colours for the front room Three bought, one of which turned out to be "the colour"
- sand the front room windowsill Done! Very pleased with this one!
- buy paint for windowsill/woodwork Done
- Check Christmas cake ingredients Done
- Check other Christmas supplies - Mincemeat is the obvious one here Done
- trial runs needed on christmas baking - sausage rolls, foccacia - maybe some form of biscuits?
- Get at least a couple more pictures up - spurred on by greenbee's "JFDI" attitude here! They truly ARE an OAT as well as each time I use Jaws in the dressing room I have to remind myself to be careful of the stack of pictures under the dressing table...I've been doing that for TWO YEARS! Yep - as previous post, progress made here
The extended meal plan is working reasonably well, although I do need to have a proper delve through the freezers to work out what else is being added on. Done the freezer dive - and I reckon we can nearly get everything into freezer 1 now - meaning F2 can be defrosted before chistmas!
Also -
- Stripped the remaining chillies off the plants
- emptied two growbags onto the main veg bed as a mulch (The tomato pots got emptied onto the other side, where we are unlikely to grow either potatoes or tomatoes in the future)
- Paint bought for front room wall AND woodwork using a £9 off £60 spend from the orange DIY people
- Stripped the wallpaper off the "to be painted" wall in the front room
- Sorted out spare seeds ready to go to either the seed swap or a friend who finally has her own garden and may grow veg next year.
- Purchased the collage type frame for the family & friends pictures
- Started sorting out pics ready for that frame
- started putting together a photobook using pics from my phone.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Freezer is defrosted, walk was done to get toiletries for better prices, and major OAT achieved- my mum had bought me some gold stud earrings for my birthday in summer and they didn't have a hallmark on. I have since then been meaning to have them checked as I didn't want my mum to have been ripped off, but 1. it was a walk in a direction I don't usually go in and 2. (and much more relevant if I'm being honest) I didn't really want to know if they were fake, because I would have to take further action, and she would be disappointed, but I also needed to make sure my mum hadn't been taken advantage of.
So off I trundled to the very nice jewellers/pawnbrokers who checked them for me and confirmed they are kosher, it's just that as they're small and light they don't meet the legal minimum weight at which gold (or silver) has to be hallmarked. Phew!
