Spent 30 minutes on my least favourite task - filing and shredding.
sorted out a maturing savings account.  Tried to do another one but it requires me to print out and post a form even though it's an online account 🤷‍♀️

World's smallest but most satisfying OAT done yesterday ....

We have a stainless, brushed steel, push-lidded pot that we keep teabags in on the worktop behind the kettle. We've had it at least 20 years, as I bought it when I did the running away from ex thing ... It had become sticky and manky with kitchen atmosphere grease (and being relatively close to the hob). I have tried scrubbing it before but it's a time consuming process and not that effective, plus it means me breathing in cleaning chemicals etc ...
I emptied it yesterday and plonked it in the dishwasher for the overnight run. It has come out shining like a new pin! I am delighted :)

The other OAT that is now progressing is that Mr KK, finally, has a GP appointment this afternoon to talk about his spine. His sciatica in his left buttock got so bad last night that he had to slide off his chair and onto the floor when eating dinner. Scared the hooey out of me after what happened last Christmas, so I allowed myself to get upset last night (tbh it was pretty genuine! :( ) and emotionally manipulate him into promising me he would make an appointment today!

    KK

    As at 15.12.25:
    - When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £227,385
    - OPs to mortgage = £12,881 Estd. interest saved = £6,203 to date
    c. 16 months reduction in term
Fixed rate 3.85% ends October 2030

You might have emotionally manipulated Mr KK but sounds like he definitely needs to see a GP.  Glad he got an appointment for this afternoon.

Glad to hear Mr KK has made an appointment.

Pictures are up in the front bedroom after being woken up by a cat pinging the wire, chewing the wire, pulling the picture over and scaring herself and her sister and then waking up the dog as they thundered downstairs...  so that's 6 pictures off the floor and that room done other than tie-back hooks and new doorknobs for the wardrobe doors. It looks so much better.

Time for an updated list from me I think:

    - Add another week at least to the extended meal plan
    - Get more of the panels sanded and painted on the office wall if the weather is dry enough!
    - See what we can do about re-fixing the bottom panel of the office all which appears to not be fixed currently
    - Empty tomato plant pots and retrieve crocks from the bottoms
    - Compost pepper plants
    - Walk or drive to the community farm to see if they still have their seed swap in place (Must also check with about-to-move-to-a-house friend whether she plans any veg growing and if so, does she want seeds?)
    - Brainstorm about house jobs to be done - remember to list electrical stuff ready to get electrician details from Mum.
    - Start looking for tester pots of suitable paint colours for the front room
    - sand the front room windowsill
    - buy paint for windowsill/woodwork
    - Check Christmas cake ingredients
    - Check other Christmas supplies - Mincemeat is the obvious one here
    - trial runs needed on christmas baking - sausage rolls, foccacia - maybe some form of biscuits?
    - Get at least a couple more pictures up - spurred on by greenbee's "JFDI" attitude here! They truly ARE an OAT as well as each time I use Jaws in the dressing room I have to remind myself to be careful of the stack of pictures under the dressing table...I've been doing that for TWO YEARS!

The extended meal plan is working reasonably well, although I do need to have a proper delve through the freezers to work out what else is being added on.

Did a few quick emails that were getting transferred onto the daily to-do list day after day, so while nothing has actually been resolved at least the ball is back in other people's court now

I got genuinely excited when I read "World's smallest but most satisfying OAT done yesterday ...."
I haven't done any lately, but those are my favourite kinds of OATs.
I can count seeing my nephew last night I suppose, I hadn't seen him since Christmas, not that he's a task!
I've got 4 days off this weekend so plan on tackling some biggies, but also doing some nice things.

Ordered more charcoal sprinkles for the dog - hopefully they'll arrive before the almost-empty bucket runs out as he's been very stinky for the last couple of days. Of course, it may just be that I'm getting my sense of smell back after covid.

Not sure whether to congratulate or commiserate @greenbee 😁

I have been so overwhelmed with stuff lately that I have been slacking, so tomorrow I'm having Fabulous Friday, whether I like it or not!
Emphasis needs to be on getting some steps in and the weather forecast is appalling. I will be as hardy as possible but if it just seems daft I will dang well do enough carpet walks.
Nothing is getting rewritten on a future days list that can be done tomorrow, nothing!
