I'm of the opinion that the "monkey" in this case isn't just rabid, it also has the Ebola Zaire and Marburg viruses.Coupon-mad said:Dear Halfords,
Private firms don't issue fines. This scam is an invoice and it won't be paid.
You are the principal (the 'organ grinder' in your ill-advised parking contract). The parking firm contractor is merely your agent. Why let the rabid 'monkey' run around off the lead, frightening away repeat customers?
You've lost my family's custom forever and according to social media we aren't the only ones. More fool your company for naively signing a dubious contract with a typically aggressive anti-consumer member of a known scam industry, and then wondering why your store is often deserted.
Even more fool you, for not ensuring the contract includes provision for Halfords to exercise a 'right to cancel' even a percentage of unfair charges, like supermarkets do.
Wise up. Your position is unjustifiable and plain stupid. Whoever signed this contract is losing you money on a daily basis. People don't return once bitten by a parking shark.
Whether you take that fact on board or not, in future, don't sign or renew ludicrously unbalanced contracts that expose your reputation to be dragged down to the bottom-feeder level of the private parking industry and don't make false promises to customers then renege on them.
I haven't discounted suing Halfords for breach of verbal contract (promise) and pursuing a "nothing we can do" course of conduct that continues to allow your agents to harass and intimidate me. You may be unaware but Halfords remain at all times jointly and severally liable for the actions of your agents.
You can expect a Letter of Claim in the New Year and for your staff to be called as witnesses. I would politely remind you of your option to seek independent legal advice.
yours sincerely,4 -
My mistake.......I didn't notice the edit timelines and assumed the bold of the principle was trying to correct the principal C-M had in their letter post edit."Actually it is principal in this case (principal-agent relationship)."
Sorry - not sure what your point is. C-m put right (after another tiring all-nighter) after my above pointer.3 -
Many thanks again for the amazing letter. I have sent it off to Halfords as a response to their sucky email. I have also edited the email as per grandad's goood post. Good work. Guys.Coupon-mad said:Ta muchly. It was late!
It does look as though they are just giving the usual waffle and brushing of any responsabiulity rather than help their customers. Scumbags.1 -
It's quite possible (due to a unilateral contract the idiots signed) that they can't cancel an unfair PCN for a customer but a really robust complaint like that is never wasted.
One purpose of the complaint is also to sow a seed to make them think twice about renewing the parking contract, even if their hands are tied on your PCN.
The idea is that the complaint is pushy, angry and memorable, such that the landowners discuss it among themselves and someone might wake up and smell the stinking rat (or rabid Ebola, Zaire and Marburg virus riddled 'monkey') they've let loose on their customers.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yeah it was a great complaint letter indeed. Its deeply worrying that they dont care about what has happened to me and my official compalaint was not taken seriously.Coupon-mad said:It's quite possible (due to a unilateral contract the idiots signed) that they can't cancel an unfair PCN for a customer but a really robust complaint like that is never wasted.

Last week i phoned the agency who the securiuty manager worked for, to make an official complaint, the girl took the basics of my compaliianty and said someone will call me back, more bull.
I also emailed someone who was on the conglomerate webisite contact page, no reply from him or them.
Its impossible to avoid parking at any private car park as there is never an alternative nearby.3 -
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for your reply.LoneStarState said:
Might be worth making a subject access request to Halfords to see correspondence relating to this sent by them?this is the vile reply i got from HAlfords, they finally have responded tyo my offical complaint made on 6th Aug this year.
Will show you how much effort they have put in and also whether they actually did direct cancellation but the parking firm refused. Evidence of that undermines any legitimate interest in continuing to enforce the PCN given the principal's wishes.
I kind of know the sequence of events now bbut this is unlikely to change anything with Halfords, they dont even take this seriously. I wish i had the backbone to saw down these camera systems like those guys in London.2 -
Sorry for the late reply. Its on a multi outlet retail park .Half_way said:You will only get the data they have on you with an SAR.
Also is this car park Halfords, or is halfords a tenant on a multi outlet retail park?2 -
Lol i agree totallyMothballsWallet said:I'm of the opinion that the "monkey" in this case isn't just rabid, it also has the Ebola Zaire and Marburg viruses.

Hello guys it's time to give you all an update. regarding how
Regarding the Halfords email complaint I sent them, i have not heard back from them so far.
Today I spoke to the Mediation Service and I told them in great detail all about the lies and corruption surrounding this PCN. The woman said that she would get back to the other side and tell them what I have been saying about the PCN. She can't be certain that they won't take it all the way to court, She has marked the case as mediation not Settled.
I had to call WorkmanLLp again regarding my complaint about the security manager. I have finally received an email from the manager from WorkmanLLP and its so i can complain about the vile useless security manager. This is regarding the lies he told saying he could not get my PCN cancelled due to legal proceeding being underway, which is lies you guys told me. Is it actually worth my while complaining even more or should i give up.
----------------------------------
Regarding the DRPlus PCN invoice On Friday I spoke to the MP and his secretary, I also sent them bank statements for that particular day in question. They Said that they would write to ECP. They got a response that very afternoon and they have canceled the PCN. This is brilliant news And it's such a shame then you have to go to these lengths to appease these scumbags who are persecuting me.6 -
Well done for your tenacity ............ and the result!5
