Thanks for your reply. I would love to sue those !!!!!! but i dont have any money for legal fees, i get UC and PIP, i get by ok but i dont have hundreds of pounds to pay a lawyer. Am i right in thinking legal aid wont cover this?

Yesterday i made a complaint to Workman LLP as thats who the security manager works for, someone will call me back..

The halfords manager sent me an email a few days ago, to my old email address and so i did not get it, i managed to login to read the message, i will ask if they really have proof that the original manager did sent an email to the security manager to cancel the PCN. The current Halfords manager says they have proof on the phone yeasterday.

I have always hated Halfords and i dont use the Autocentre's, i use the retail occasionally as it can be handy for some quick click and collect. Thats why i use council mot centres as i dont trust any garage, they dont do repairs and have no incentive to fail things for profits.

Yes complain to whoever runs the site.

Suing someone for up to £300 costs £35 and you do not need a solicitor. However, we understand that is a step too far for most posters here.

Many thanks i did not know about this. When it comes to a PCN, who should you sue the retailers, the land owner or the parking company?

I just called the branch manager again and requested that he sends me proof of their email to the security manager.

I just realised these cowboys are using my new address, how did they find me, i deliberately dont upadte my v5 or the voters reg to avoid these situations, i know its not ideal but these cowboys are breaking the law so why should i make it easy for them? I also have an old one from 2022 and DCBL have contacted me regarding this.

this is a sure way to get a CCJ against you or a real fine from the police / council with out you knowing ..... The DVLA can all so fine you 

You keep mentioning all the phone calls you have made ....... please do not do this .... I know doing calls can achieve things quicker  .... I have felt like that in my accounts with the scammers ...... You will not be able to prove any of them actually took place     The forum all ways says letters emails only. 

Hope you take all this the right way ...... We understand that this has been all new and hard work for you.

Hey their thanks for your reply. I have dealt with the police many times when my license or v5 is not registered to my new address, they dont care. They just request you update them soon. I ignore them, they have treated me atrociously in the past, making an official complaint is a joke too. 

DCBL sent me an invoice from an old PCN and saying they used a tracing service, so they have not took this one to court despite me not updating my address or responding in any way. Wetherspoons Portishead refuse to help good customers when it comes to these PCN's.

That is a REALLY REALLY bad idea and you could get several CCJs from firms who don't bother to do traces.

It is a really - really - silly thing to do. Stop immediately. Update your V5C this week.

Is it possible to sue anyone as with both PCN's i dont have proof of not being there for execesive periods of time. I live alone and have no witnesses or fanancial proof that i was not there. The claims are just ludicrious. 

Do you have any threads where someone has sued an organisation.

I would like to sue these people but maybe its too complicated.

It is too complicated for most posters so forget it and just defend the daft claim!

But action needs taking:

1. update your address with ALL debt collectors now, even those who have already traced the new address (yes, honestly it is still needed). Tell them to ERASE the old address.

2. update your V5C address with the DVLA and never leave it lapsed again. You are very lucky if you've so far escaped a private PCN CCJ.

Do all of the above this week/end. Including any DRA who wrote to you months ago. You cannot leave a parking firm with a choice of 2 addresses. That way lies a CCJ.
