Great plans. Having the right motivation really helps I found.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thank you dfw and watty xx
Today is the winters solistice, personally I prefer to mark and celebrate this time of year than Xmas.!!
Slowly the light ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธwill begin to return and darkness retreat. โœด๏ธโœด๏ธโœด๏ธ
So since my last email I have being trying to think about the days essential jobs to be done and then also 'what 1 thing can I do today that will help move my business ideas forward'
This is helping me keep focused. I have come up with a new business name, secured the domain. Designed the logo.
Made lists! I had the first business buddy chat with my friend and this is definetly going to be useful. She is talking through to us all the content of her paid coaching sessions. So she gets to cement what she's learnt and practice and refine her ideas and we get to take on board on the helpful stuff! Win win! I've got homework too! Plus some things I hadn't considered that I need toย  / could explore. I am signed up for a course but looking for another one in a creative marketing / selling direction to help me with that aspect.
So that's where I am, happy with progress, but could have done more. Xmas is getting in the way!ย

  • Today we are looking to look at a car for DD, she has a certain amount saved up. But in typical DD style the car she likes is double!! We will give and same amount to her as her older sibling, and then she is going to borrow the rest from us. She is very fortunate to get Pip (at the moment) which will help pay it back. As her anxiety is so high that she is unable to use the bus for college, so I think this is a good use of the money. It will also help me so much, time wise. If she could drive herself to college!!!
However, I think we are a long long long way off her being confident enough to take a test / drive on own even after the test might be a struggle!
Then I need to clean the house and then collect DS2 from the train station. Yey!, uni boy is coming home!!
So I best get up and moving!!ย

Would it be best to wait till your DD passes her test for her to buy a car?ย

Well in some ways your right beanie, but she needs lots and lots and lots of practice and lessons are so expensive, so we will be taking her out lots!
We went and saw 2 and the second one looks like it might be the one!ย

Did the Xmas shop, I didn't sleep very well last night, so went early, but really it wasn't early enough!! It's was packed, but it was doable, not as bad as I've seen it some years!
Will need to go back mind, I have a second list ๐Ÿค”
My DS1 had told my husband that they was going to surprise me, by turning up tomorrow. Husband decided he had better tell me. I and really glad he did, before I bought ask the food. So we now have 9 for Xmas lunch and not enough bedrooms ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„ (or chairs!)ย
    Anyhow. We will manage!ย
Also put down a deposit on a like car for DD, actually, she paid for it. ๐Ÿ˜They are going to mot it and eke then it will be ready, but probably after Xmas now. There's no rush. Except of course DD wanted it today!!ย
I've had a funny head must of the day, so not done loads, but rearranged thounge a bit to make the table bigger, find another chair here and there etc๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž

The other issue I had today was my car!ย
The heater has gone! So no heat and no demister! Which is regret annoying. OH Is going to look at it tomorriw, but it will probably need to be looked at by the garage and I can't really drive it until it's done, which is prob going to be Jan!ย  Eek!ย

Morning, so Christmas has been and gone ๐Ÿคฃ not my favourite time, akways so stressful and always that pressure to have a 'perfect day' which it never is.
    Anyhoo,ย
Today is the 4 days of the new year.ย
I have been very motivated with getting going on my goals.ย
My word for this year is FOCUS and I am determined to develop my side hustles so I can give up the main job.ย
I have been debating how to do a website for a few months and OH, has not been helpful stalling my thoughts and ideas every time. But a could of days ago I signed up with a well known website builder and have been very focused in getting a website together. It's coming along OK, but it's taking me ages because im having to work it all out as I go along. But it's good to learn because I need to build another one after ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ hopefully that one will be easier and quicker.ย
Now I just need to keep momentum going, which is always much harder when college goes back and I am needed for the taxiing my DD everywhere!ย
On that note, we got the car for DD and hoping to take DD out later today, but only to a car park, I'm not ready to take her out on the roads yet!!
Ds2 is still here, but being rather quiet not sure what the issue is, he goes back on the 7th, so I need to try and chat to him before then, but he is a very closed book, so it probably won't happen. Kids eh! You never stop worrying about them!ย

Been looking at the debt busting challenges and whilst I dint want to commit on any of the boards having failed last year. I have thought about it and decided I should at least try something! So I have set up a standing order for ยฃ2 a day to go into my Xmas fund.
Let's see how it goes. I'm going a fair amount might work better than weekly if monthly. 2 x 365 is 730, so that's what I'm aiming for. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž

    The mortgage is currently ยฃ45123.00
But the interest hasn't yet been added. Monthly interest is app ยฃ122 a month.
OPs are approx ยฃ280 a month and we try to add anything we sell to this each month.ย
Definetly feels good to have it below 50K
Should be into the 30s before the end of the year ๐Ÿ˜
I do need to see when the fix is up, it could be next year, will check
