I would advise you to get one that is medical graded. Iโ€™ve tried a cheap one and it was neither use nor ornament. I ended spending a bit more and it is worth every penny.ย

I have a lumie clock which is a lovely thing "to have" but not really working as a solution.ย  My desk has a diamond one and somewhere I have a Philips blue lite.ย  Both the Philips and diamond are really good - but - Iย  got my Philips in the USA some years ago for one tenth of the UK price.ย  I just have to use an adaptor - when I plug it in.ย  ย The Philips is small so I have to consciously use it the diamond large so I just put it on when I start work in the morning.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • That's really helpful guys thank you.ย
I do love this forum xx
  • So took the birthday child out(not child, they are 23 now!)
Spent too much money! Bought lunch out, a coat, some shoes, a bath bomb!ย
Shoes were tk max and a good price. They currently have literally1 pair of shoes! They can be very reluctant to go shopping so as they were in the mood we made the most of it! They also bought a pair of shoes from pr1mark and 2 Tshirts and a pair of trousers!
They now have 3 pairs of shoes! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
I put it all on the cc and this morning I'm just shuffling money around to try and I pay it down! So I've taken it from the Xmas fund (which was always unofficially birthdays too,) but this year the fund is always half what it should be, so OH is gong to have to pay more this year!

Work today, should have been 5 clients but I've had to change 3! Last minute hospital app came up, annoying, but my lot are easier to move than a hospital app!ย

OK, I'm in the mind to try and make things better! Haha need to catch these moments when they arise!!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
Inspired by @Watty1 ย  I'm going to cut out the refined sugar for at least 2 weeks and see if my energy levels improve. I also intend to increase my water. I'll keep the coffee as is for now, my body is going to be in enough shock with the sugar crash. I also know I need to move more, but currently not doing any regular exercise more excuses here about lack of energy. But will try walking as a first step even if only round the block.
    Soย
๐ŸคžNo sugar, will have some fruit - apples/ odd banana if I'm doing a smoothie, but maybe a weekly treat, well see
๐Ÿ˜ŽAdd in more nuts / olives / houmous /, veggies. I know me, very well!!! so I will need to prep snacks ready, so I can just grab.
๐Ÿ˜‹Start making protein balls again. Usually use dates, will have a think on that and look for a different recipe.ย
    ๐Ÿ‘ŒExercise, at least 1 walk a day
    ๐Ÿ’“Meditation - must get back into this.ย
๐ŸฅคWater - I never can remember how many glasses when I try and count. So 1 glass with each meal plus 1 in the evening. Start will 4 glasses of water and go from there.ย

Well now that feels very positive, how long before I'm grumpy pants ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
I'm also going to take another look and dowse for supplements, I know I need magnesium, just not sure which type, maybe there's a combined one!ย

    Go me๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Edited, I'm. Going to actively increase my protein intake too, so I feel fuller and hopefully less like the sweet after dinner treats ( who am I kidding!! )ย
  • Watty inspired me too. We can be grumpy together ๐Ÿคฃ.

  • I hope your health kick goes well! Iโ€™m also trying to eat more veggies at the moment and meditate each day. Iโ€™ve only been doing it for a week but mentally I feel so much better alreadyย
