Not quite correct - if you had a current account which was open on 15th July 2025 then you're ineligible, but if you had a current account but closed it before that date then you're okay. Only applies to Barclays current accounts - credit cards, savings, or other accounts are okay.
    No, the wording is:

You already have any open Barclays Current Account on or before this offer started on 15 July 2025.

    Not

You already have any open Barclays Current Account when this offer started on 15 July 2025.
We will see how Barclays interpret it. Personally, I'd argue that "open" is they key word here - if my existing account was closed before 15 Jul and I was otherwiase eligible, then I'd expect to be able to get the bonus.

Yes, theirs is the only opinion that matters. For me the key word is "before".

For example. You had an open Barclays Current Account on 4th July. You closed it that day, before the offer started.

So on 4th July your account was open. 4th July is before 15th July. So you had an open Barclays Current Account before 15th July.

So far my wife has had two emails, one telling her that she should receive a debit card within 7 working days, and the other thanking her for registering for the app!

She still can't access the account though, so we await the debit card in hope...

Does anyone know whether there's any rule/requirement on how long the £1500 pay in has to stay in the account?

I transferred this in and then straight back out but now wondering whether I should leave it in there for a while. I can't see any requirement or info listed on Barclays so thinking this might be okay? Thanks in advance

@broonie30 I don't think there is anything written about how long the money needs to be in the account, my personal rule is to at least leave it in overnight.

My switch went through last week. I have put £1500 in. The app will not let me apply for Blue Rewards as it says my account does not qualify ??  Do I just wait and become a Blue rewards member automatically ?
Over £2K made from bank switches and P2P incentives since 2016

No, I had to follow this in Step 2:

To join Blue Rewards, go to Your rewards in the Barclays app and follow the instructions.

I do hope that me being a prior Barclaycard customer does not impact the bonus.
Once you've never had a current account with Barclays you're eligible for the bonus, assuming you've correctly fulfilled all the conditions of the offer.
Got a text today to confirm I'd qualified and will be weighed in, in the next 10 days, so all is good.

My wife's still getting texts and emails exhorting her to do this that and t'other in the app, which she can't get into until her debit card materialises, so we can try that way🙄😬

Trying to make sure I get this offer, but the T&Cs on paying in the £1500 are quite contradictory on the Barclays link on page 1 of this thread.

At the top of the page it says the money can be paid in in instalments. So then would moving £750 in and out twice on consecutive days count, for example?

But then reading the detailed T&Cs on the bottom of the page, it indicates it has to be one full payment? My switch doesn’t complete until 31st July and it’s going to be touch and go if I have £1500 still in my account then.
