Have they got fed up of people switching between each minor tariff change and blocked online switching when you are on a tariff with an end date?I'm in Agile and tracker and used to be able to easily just go to the change tariff page to see what the current pricing is.0

I've only ever come to the end of a Tracker tariff, and at the time, they didn't have the option to switch single fuels, (kept my electric on Tracker longer than gas) so had to email them.Ever since, I've not come close to the end of a tariff, as I hop from fix to fix to fix, but always had to email, as the online switching for single fuels (don't always want to switch both) doesn't work. I assume that's because I'm not in the last 49 days.Wish they would allow you to switch those at any point online, but you just get an error, or I did last time I tried.0

Nothing new if on a fixed length tariff, always have to phone unless the tariff is near the end of its life when they will email you a reminder and set up on-line switch (for dual or single).0

I asked about this and was told that it compensated for not having any fee attached if you changed tarrif either within Octopus or by moving away.
EDF SC are far lower than Octopus - but £50 fee per utility if you change before end of contract.1 -
Never mind, August v21 is rumoured to be a good 'un1

The option disappeared again a few weeks ago again. You can do it online using the magic link -scroll back a bit to find it0
-
You may find the "magic" link works up until the final step when it tells you to contact Octo rather than changing the tariff, I did anyway when trying to change from fixed tariff. Fuse Energy has lower s/c and unit rate so might be worth a look for those becoming annoyed at Octo, but fifty quid exit fee.

August v1 not much difference, electric higher.2
