Would that work for me though…. ,my heaters need the tariffs/meter to workSwipe said:I'm switching to Utility Warehouse at the end of my E.On Next fix in autumn to get that low night rate and I only use 3kWh during on peak so their 37p day rate is not so bad. I can double my nighttime usage and still pay less than what I'm paying on my current fix0 -
Yes Octopius likes some others don't put e7 in the tariff names - but the quote should be e7 based on your new meter. If click on tariff info it should give both rates and the SC to compare with EDFs. You've certainly supplied day / night (well peak off peak) use.My first thought was if you were going to try out Snug - you might want to go flexible - but iirc many Octopus (12m at least) fixes were (still are ? - I'd check first) free exit fee deals anyway. So if still true - you might as well take the lower charges from day 1 - and maybe have a couple of months of hopefully meter / supplier stress free life (after the last x months of EDF - you surely deserve it) before the big winter bills become due.And dont forget once on e7 you should be able to hop on Snug to see if that 6+1 split works and works better for you heatwise - and thats still no wiring changes at your end.And as other posts in past for you - do try to get a £50 referral code from friends or family - or as links posted.

Quote from utility warehouse for me
I put in that I’ve got an economy 7 meter , is that correct ?? It’s two rate meter ..I presume it’s the same thing !
I use 8000 off peak a year so would be a good price with them !Would this be for 7 hours off peak ??0 -
If your meter is configured for E7 it will work but UW might not be as cheap for you if you use a lot of daytime on peak electricity. You can get a quote from the UW website to find your rates and work out the cost manually to see. Even if it goes up by a couple of pence on 1st October, it's still going to work out way cheaper than anyone else for me.Rosie1001 said:

Yes, as long as your smart meter is configured for E7 properly before you switch. I'm not sure why their quote always includes gas usage when you explicitly state electric only so I'd take that monthly DD figure with a pinch of salt.Rosie1001 said:Would this be for 7 hours off peak ??0 -
I use around 2000 a year peakSwipe said:

Think I ruled out snug as my timings on acls are over ,used to be 9 mins , but it’s 11 mins over each change over nowScot_39 said:Yes Octopius likes some others don't put e7 in the tariff names - but the quote should be e7 based on your new meter. I’m paying £210 a month now , I’m in a lot of credit going into the colder months … ..
to be honest , cost wise , I’m not that bothered , I just want a warm home ..obviously if I can get a great price that’s a bonus0 -
Based on my usage now .. UW works out approx £1600 a year …
EDF …£1950
the off peak is around £500 a year more with EDF
octopus fixed 12 m …is £1800
that’s all on E7 I think ….0
