At least with a balance like  that going into winter , I won’t be cold if I need to use additional heating etc …

but hopefully I will have changed to EON E10 by then .. if not , any decent suppler that  offers E7  with acls controlling my heaters will do , I just want to be done with EDF !

Have EOn Next agreed to take you on as a new customer on split time e10 ?

I've been under tge impression its legacy only for nearly 10 years.

They charge a premium on off peak rates over e7 in my region - in past c4-5p/ kWh - dont like reminding myself every cap change -  it might be an expensive choice.

Well that bit is good news. Keep getting E10 at E7 rates can't be bad!

They are being lazy or incompetent and I'd get on to them before the weather turns colder up north in a few weeks. There's no reason why they still haven't sent the correct E7 config to update your meter's tariff and ALCS timings. It's probably wise to get that in place before switching.
They certainly are BUT I wouldn't be pushing for getting the meter's tariff updated in a hurry now that they've got the billing rates right! Getting the meter national Database up-to-date is THE Most important thing. I don't think that has been escalated to a high enough level!
@Rosie1001 try throwing this at them - "If the National Meter database isn't corrected for my MPAN and the other one no longer linked within the next 5 working days, then send me a "Deadlock" reply and I'll go straight to the Ombudsman."

Depending on their response to that, there's this you could "try" using -
     https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/consultation/radio-teleswitch-service-rts-electricity-supply-licence-changes
and quote the following at them from it, it says  -
"The new licence conditions will make sure consumers are treated fairly ...."
"the licensee must take all reasonable steps to provide a tariff that leaves the consumer  ‘no worse off’ than their existing arrangement ........"
Add your comment as follows - "Well that might have been the case when you did upgrade the meter, BUT this is NOW No longer the case because you say you've withdrawn the E10 tariff. I can't be the only consumer affected.
E10 is only another TOU Tariff, so what's the problem when one has a Smart Meter? Seems like a complaint to OFGEM may be needed as well."

Whilst this is a bit sort of "after the event" I'd say anything is worth a try!!

The mpan is sorted now on data base , but the related bit is still wrong .. that’s why I am having trouble switching , I did sent them about the 5 working days etc a few weeks  ago as you advised

App says I am on E7 costings ,but my meter and IHD is still showing the E10 cost ..so who knows what they will charge me next time ha ha

Its a half done job.  So no its not really "sorted".  Two mpans are clearly still linked to your address if its blocking switching.

If as I fear your not tge only one, its another potential systemic failure that realky ought to result in an Ofgem warning if not fine.

Wonder how many of the 100,000s coming off rts are going to have this problem once realise they now finally have options to switch.

I fear that 'EDF' and 'Ovo' go together like 'Frying Pan' and 'Fire'...

Except Ovo have reportedly been actively installing E10 smart meters with 3 off peak slots to replace RTS thtc and other e10 / similar systems .

And thats part of the problem with Ofgem not supporting e10 style tariffs.
The corresponding lack of choice for those often facing the highest heating bills.

But yes they are pretty low rated - £2.5m fined by Ofgem iirc for poor complaints, still that better than EOns £5m for poor service.

Posted this link to couple of past surveys in TE thread

CA put EDF lowest last year - Which put BG worst overall of 16,  but 2nd worst, Ovo worst for complaint handling and Ofgem did fine them £2.5m iirc for it, but there were 7 firms scored lower than half Whichs 15 max for complaint handling.

TE sadly not in either list, but another now failed supplier was in one of them.

Anyone know if these would be suitable for me , as you know I need to meter to control my storage heater timings

if I have to accept E7 , I’d rather It wasn’t with EDF for obvious reasons !

I'm switching to Utility Warehouse at the end of my E.On Next fix in autumn to get that low night rate and I only use 3kWh during on peak so their 37p day rate is not so bad. I can double my nighttime usage and still pay less than what I'm paying on my current fix
