    Hi,
My 84 year old dad dad just received a fine from Manchester Airport T2, £100 for less than 3 minutes.   He was driving his car but I want to appeal on his behalf.
Can you confirm that I can use the text that has been posted in previous threads?
Has anyone used this recently & been successful.
    Thanks

Always. But ONLY if the keeper appeals.

  • Hello,

I got a parking charge from APCOA at Manchester Airport issued on 15 Nov for alleged contravention of "Use of Pickup/ Drop Off Zone without making a valid payment". The strange thing is that I actually paid for a 15 mins period after the pickup of which I didn't spend above that time. I believe I was charged for making a wrong turn when exiting the Airport because the entry and exit times were 89 seconds apart.

Looking through the thread, I have seen that all that is needed is to appeal with the below statement. I want to confirm that is still correct and also want to confirm if it's fine to fill in the Vehicle Keeper's name, address and email in the "Appellant Details" section of the APCOA appeal page as those look to be compulsory in order to submit the appeal.

I appeal as keeper. I am not obliged to identify the driver and I decline to do so.

    1. You are unable to transfer liability to the keeper pursuant to Schedule 4 to the the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 ('POFA') because airport drop off zones are not ‘relevant land’ as defined in POFA.

    2. Even if (which is not the case) the land in question is relevant land your notice does not conform to the requirements set out in POFA paragraphs 9(2)(e) and (f).

    Thank you.

    Nothing has changed. It wins.

Obviously the keeper's details go in!
