Emptied DW eventually. Car insurance done - £110 saved and hopefully £45 cashback (thanks @Blackcats)
Dog bathed.
Pilates done for 6th day in a row.
Veg picked. More courgette cooking is on the cards for later.
Need to bung som stuff in the SC as I'm out this afternoon, and when I get back I need to work out everything I've got to to do get the irrigation system set up. The instructions are hard work, and the one thing that wasn't clear is that the pump and controller are going to need to go under cover, so I need to work out how I can do that.3 -
I really need to stop putting it off and list some things online. Either mine or my father's, I just need to make a start. Why does it feel so overwhelming?
Which is the easiest/most user friendly? I've bought off ebay and vinted but never sold anything. I don't know anyone in real life who has either. Hold my hand Forum Friends.
Maybe just start with 2 or 3 items of mine on vinted? Clothes so they are nice and easy to pack and post if they sell?
I think I made my vinted account about 2 years ago to sell but chickened out, so this is a MEGA-OAT!!

Try Vinted. A friend has sold lots and believes that the trick is good lighting for the photos & a realistic price. I sell on vinted.Easy to do but I tend to put things on at very reasonable prices. It gets them out of the house so max for me is £5. The odd £1 or £2 soon adds up. Walk to the drop offs is fairly easy for me and gets my step counts up.
i keep things in a wardrobe once I have listed them in order of when they were listed. Then if they have not gone they can go to the charity shop and deleted from the site.3 -
Shredding continues albeit slowly, I don't want to put the shredder away until it is done or I will never start it up again. I might shift it to the dining room instead though. Lots of space upstairs being created through the loss of underbed storage boxes of paperwork.
I did a bit more on the Snug so that the corner I want to sit in is clear and has appropriate lighting. I sat and did some crocheting in there last night and the space works, although the fluffy trousered dog mog has decided that he can sit on my knee while I crochet so the wool is now extra fluffy. At least he leaves the wool alone unlike Evil.

A gardening OAT done 😊
Tidied up the bed at the top of the drive which I see twice every day! That involved removing an oak seedling, a huge bramble incursion and 5 ash seedlings. I did feel a bit mean removing the ash seedlings but it’s a small bed, less than a metre square, and they would have overwhelmed it quickly. From there I also potted up one of the yellow heuchera that was really struggling in such exposed conditions (once it’s recovered and grown more new feeder roots I will plant it somewhere shadier). Potted up a volunteer small white Japanese Anemone and that will get put out somewhere that doesn’t have any late season interest as yet. Lightly weeded the rest of the bed, planted the two things I picked up yesterday (one a small leaved bergenia and a daisy-like thing with heavily serrated, glaucous foliage) and a couple of rooted cuttings (one was the classic white and pink summer jasmine that might cooperate with rambling through the viburnum behind it), watered well and mulched. It looks a lot happier. 😊

Tomorrow I need to feed the tomatoes/cucumbers/peppers and do the septic tank treatment.
And cook courgettes...2 -
I had one of those sessions this morning where you start thinking I’ll just do this … (in this case, empty the wheelbarrow of pots so I could then use the wheelbarrow for cutting back things in the garden) which then leads onto job after job … and you still don’t do what you originally intended! 😂
However, all the pots got put away 👏, the potting shed tidied (it was dreadful!) and swept! Very pleased with this 😊
Managed some time on the cutting patch again, beating back the bindweed but then we had a MONSOON like rain shower so I had to admit defeat and come in … Maaaaaybe it will get finished tomorrow…?? 🤷♀️😉

Nothing much done today as I was worn out after being out yesterday. Dog bedding and towels washed and dried. Cleaning cloths washed. Cats and dog fed. Dog walked. DW run, but not yet emptied. Beef stew made in SC yesterday/overnight portioned up and in the fridge (need to transfer most of it to the freezer.
I need ideas for the giant courgettes I've harvested (need more ideas of what uses LOTS of courgette and ideally freezes well so I can make big batches daily and freeze them), and also need to go and pick chard to add to some beef stew for supper. Unless I make the courgette pasta I was vaguely thinking of making...3 -
My friend made the most amazing courgette cake. It was so delicious. What do you put in your courgette pasta @greenbee?
