I'm trying to stay away from cake and freeze meals for later in the year when there aren't so many veggies in the garden/I CBA to cook.

Recipe recommended by a colleague here: https://www.loveandlemons.com/zucchini-pasta/#wprm-recipe-container-78941 I was thinking of having the sauce with butter beans rather than pasta as I prefer pulses and lots of pasta sauces work well with butter beans.

@greenbee  - I parboil whole, trimmed courgettes just to soften a little..  Then wrap them in ham, cover with cheese sauce and add a crunchy breadcrumb & crushed crisp topping and bake till bubbling.  Quite a hearty meal and very tasty served with crusty bread.

2 more charity shop bags dropped off.  These are from my mum's wardrobe so there's an emotional element to doing it.  However, she had such nice clothes that it's good to give them another chance to be enjoyed.

Dad's meter reading done and submitted.  Will check his balance in a couple of days.

Online account set up for dad's building society account which although he doesn't do online anything will help me to help him to manage his account.

form filled in for a pension change for me and actually sent too.

our new mattress was unrolled and left to puff up while we were away for the weekend.

That sounds perfect. I can put them through the food processor. I missed a couple last week, and one of them weighs 1.5kg... With all the rain there will probably more.

@Cheery_Daff - we really like our thermal drinks flasks.  We started using them in lockdown when everywhere was shut and now we enjoy the freedom they give us.  We often say that being able to go for a lovely walk and find a seat with a view gives us the very best pop up coffee shop.

I refuse to buy anything Smeg after my hob fiasco (the paint came off all round the edge, they refused to do anything even though within guarantee as it was 'cosmetic' and said it was my fault). Nicely rusty now and impossible to clean properly (repainting it myself is a long-standing OAT - watch this space...) So Smeg can bog off!

(I know plenty of people love their stuff, but I do make a point of telling my crappy stove story to counterbalance as I know people buy their stuff for the way it looks, as indeed we did) 😬😂

I didn't know they made travel cups though. They probably look lovely! 😂
