Some shredding done today.  Tackled a work notebook and got a bit sidetracked reading various meeting notes.  Concluded that I did a lot of doodling during meetings!  Also reminded me of a Bruce Springsteen lyric "now all those things that seemed so important, they just vanish into the air" or into the shredder.
also did some ironing and concluded that cleaning blinds, slat by slat is more boring than ironing.

I finally did that last bit of uni work I said I was going to do 3 days ago, but was actually supposed to have been done a few months ago. Still need to check the submission guidance and submit it but I am now confident it will be done in the next couple of days!
I usually smash out a few OATs in the last week of the month but I'm housesitting from Thursday til Monday so I doubt many if any will get done then. Unless I make going in a hot tub and looking for shooting stars an OAT!

Changed my email with the last bank. In March I updated my email address with about 65-70% of the banks and building societies I hold accounts, since then I have been working through the remainder usually when I have logged in to do something else, this last one has been hanging around for a while. I normally use the app to manage this account but you need to use online banking to update your contact information, decided today was going to be the day I dealt with it.

This was motivated mainly by reading my OATs list written in March and seeing it was still outstanding, oops.

Everyone's doing so well - me, mixed results this month but overall not too bad.

    Completed:
    • Knitted jumper sewn up
    • Booked annual diabetes review appointment with practice nurse (next week)
    • Diabetic eye review appointment made (early August)
    • Funds in matured savings account moved into a new account
    • Concessionary TV licence successfully applied for
Not on the list but done anyway:
    • Application for Water Support made - waiting to hear
    • A cross stitch Welcome Baby card for my hairdresser (last appointment with her next week)
    • Preliminary plan drawn up for decluttering of a large walk-in cupboard (Big Project for August)
    • 5 items of household linen and a handbag gone into CS bag (yet to be taken there)
Not done but can move into August:
    • Finish off a cross stitch - just some outlining and French knots to do (postponed because of need to do Welcome Baby card)
    • Look for a new hairdresser that may be a temporary or permanent arrangement (depends on if/when mine returns to work)
    • Patio clean up - thwarted by weather (too hot, too wet etc); partially done though!   :D

Be kind to others and to yourself too.

Have found cheaper car insurance, just need to commit and pay. It's always the proof of no claims bit that makes me nervous as I worry I'll forget/won't be able to get hold of it from my old insurer.

Need to check that I've paid my tax bill, and need to call Octopus as I want some more money back from them but they seem to still be processing the last refund despite the fact that I've already had it.

I also need to cook the lump of beef I took out of the freezer the other day, go to the picture framer, go to the supermarket as I need a few ingredients to help with processing the vast quantities of courgettes I'm harvesting, and make the sponges for a birthday cake needed the weekend after I come back from a work trip.

Very long standing (and shame making) OAT done. I have completely emptied out the bottom of the kitchen cupboard under the microwave and sorted between overnight oats and baking ingredients that are in date and those that aren’t.

A shameful amount 😢🙈 of stuff has gone in the bin, but I have also instigated a new basket system that I can completely pull out of the cupboard and put on the island to check what stocks I have of what I use to make my overnight oats or bake with and ensure I can easily do rotation …

TV licence renewed. Pictures taken to framer. Garlic bought. DW run. Washing in machine.

    Still to do...

    Empty DW
    Car insurance
Check tax is paid - scheduled for 5th Sept (actually, I should have scheduled for August, but never mind!). Not enough in the bank at the moment to cover it having paid the plumber's bill yesterday.
Call Octopus re. refund  Called them just now - refund on it's way. Not quite enough to cover the TV licence, but nice to have on top of not paying them anything.
